- The Royal Air Force gave the VC10 a fitting send off today as the aircraft completed their final mission after more than 50 years of military service. The long-serving VC10 is being replaced by Britain's largest ever military aircraft, the Voyager, having served the country with distinction since being introduced in 1963.

Flew on VC10s to Canada and Belize. Beautiful aircraft, comfortable, and quiet (inside) Sounded fantastic when taking off!
Flew the old vc10s back in the day, on the commercial path now
747 is the “queen of the skies” . Maybe the VC10 is the princess?
VC10 came before the 747, and it did the fastest subsonic crossing of the atlantic, until the 747 took 40 years to break it with 170ish mph storm tail winds
vc10 > 747
VC 10. Beautiful on the outside, but I found it cramped and the fact the seats faced the rear instead of the cockpit was a little unnerving
