- Experience North Yorkshire roads; let me do the driving. I mounted a Sony HDR-AZ1 on my roof rack of my vehicle using '3M Dual Lock' and powered it via USB; I protected the camera connector from the elements with a chopped off rubber kitchen glove finger over the back of the camera and USB cable. I think the video result is quite good; especially stabilization.

Thank you so much for making and uploading this video.
It was a pleasure 'driving' this trip.
thatsmethistime You're welcome. Split the fuel costs -) I'll probably do more since this worked out quite well. If the weather is good next week is a 'Lake District' trip. I'm hoping to go to Sweden and Norway this summer; so this was an experiment to see what the video looks like. I'm buying another camera and mounting it pointing back. My problem now is 'storage' of the video.
I could probably use this at the gym when on an exercise bike ; as motivation. Get some 'virtual' vision wear and away we go. I'd look a little odd though -)
Wish I'd done this in Iceland last year !!
ScarboroughTourist Maybe you can drive a little bit slower in villages. It may depend on me, but it seems a bit fast-going in these streets. When the field is more open, it doesn't harm driving a bit faster.
Nevertheless, England is my beloved country.
thatsmethistime Will bear that in mind for the next one. Thanks. The speed was approx 25-30 mph.
Like this one Bruce...
Iain Kitchen Hi Iain; there will be more. I'm going to mount a second camera facing backwards. I'm hopefully going to Sweden/Norway pretty soon; so this was an experiment to see what the footage looked like. The only problem maybe storage of all the footage, and keeping track of it all -)
ScarboroughTourist I'm hoping to go to the Lake District next week and see what that produces.
