About American Dad:
“American Dad!” centers on super patriotic CIA agent Stan Smith (voiced by Seth MacFarlane) and the misadventures of his unconventional family in Langley Falls, VA. Stan applies the same drastic measures used in his job at the CIA to his home life, where Stan’s blissfully unaware wife, Francine (Wendy Schaal), has an unfaltering loyalty that makes her blind to his unabashed arrogance. His left-wing activist daughter Hayley (Rachael MacFarlane), however, doesn’t let him off so easily and knows just how to push her father’s buttons, unlike her dopey, well-intentioned husband Jeff (Jeff Fischer) who doesn’t know much of anything. Son Steve (Scott Grimes) is a geeky-yet-confident kid who spends his time playing video games and obsessing about the opposite sex. The Smith cabinet is rounded out by two rather unconventional members: Roger (MacFarlane), a sassy, sarcastic and routinely inappropriate space alien, and Klaus (Dee Bradley Baker), an attention-starved goldfish with the brain of a German Olympic skier.

Just saw this episode and it goes in such an insane direction that I didn’t even see it coming. Stan will go all out even if it leads to disastrous consequences.
Somehow this is like the third scene in the whole show where Mr and Mrs Yoshida have been shown together.. both are characters with potential and I want to them interact more

I say this doubling-down is a long-con ploy to punish Francine for forcing this on him; so he goes to the extreme until it starts to annoy/impede on her life, until she begs for things to go back to normal.
That didn't happen with the Italian sauce episode

I think this kind of goes to show that women are generally attracted to trait openness
Seems to be a tough shell to crack. On the one hand, in order to earn a living you have to produce in ways that people come to expect of you. On the other, a person (much like the episode) require various _other_ in their diet otherwise things become stale

I do wish they'd have some consistancy. For example, Stan learned Heaven and Hell really exist and when he dies, he's going to Hell, because of the pact he made with the devil. So, it would make sense, if he embraced the healthy diet to prevent his death and live longer.
It’s an episodic show most things don’t carry over beyond a few plot points like Jack and Santa.
