Thank you for this tour Sweetie and Dada Koo. My daughter and I are interested in this kind of travel where we can have learnings from our history. It's just sad that the tour is pricey kaya wala masyadong locals na nakakapunta dyan. Sana magkaroon ng mas murang tour para makabisita din kami one day!
Thanks for featuring Corregidor. It's on my bucket list when I visit the Philippines. My dad was a Filipino soldier with the US Army infantry who fought in WW II and survived the Bataan Death March. Another place on my list is the memorial in Capas, Tarlac where the death marchers were interned.
Nakapasyal n rin ako dyan way back to 1997, nung time n un ang dumi ng dagat, and daming basura sa seashore. I still enjoyed it. Bukas pa ung hotel noon kaya may option for overnight stay. Ang sad nga lng, very few pinoy has the money to see the place. Mas marami ang tourist na nakakarating dyan kesa sa mga locals.
We were there 2019 and we really enjoyed it. If i want to come back i would stay overnight with dogs howling😊 Corregidor is such a historical place. Love it.
Thank you for this video. I learned a lot for featuring all the details and a good tour guide. It is sad though that there are less people visiting the Manila American Cemetery Memorial in BGC yet it is where most of the Americans and Filipinos were buried and for the missing in action are remembered with their names, ranks and where they came are carved on the granite walls. To those who visited the cemetery they are amazed of such a stunning sight, unfathomable, the biggest and most well kept cemetery in a 150 acre area. When we go to the States we visit the Arlington cemetery and pay homage to the Unkno😮wn Solder and in silence or whispers we watch the changing of the guards yet we do not go to visit the very people who died for our independence. We go to Hawaii and we visit the Arizona Memorial. We are given names to pray for and in silence we listen how they were sank in 1941 and are still there in the deep. I weep listening to those vloggers telling about those who sacrificed their lives in the Philippines who were just out of their teens and never made it home. These Americans and Filipinos gave their lives for what we now enjoy. There were Australians and New Zealanders, too. It is our goal, my sister and I to visit and give honor to those whose lives we are indebted to.
I did that tour in 2003 on April 9. There was a memorial event in the area near the Japanese memorial. Most tourists are American, Pinoys and Japanese. At that time it was Sun Cruises and you take the ferry at the CCP pier. I think the cost was just Php 1,200.
thank youDada n sweetie for featuring d corregidor. ds s d first time I saw d whole island and knowing how d war was. therw are lots to remember in Corregidor😊😂😅
Thank you for the content Dada and Sweetie 😊 It's been almost a decade since I last visited Corregidor with my siblings and I can't wait to bring my wife next time. Just a suggestion, you don't need to record the majority/whole talking tour (especially since you've already provided enough info in your intro and description), rather you should encourage your audience to experience it themselves. Maybe just a few clips or highlights will do and serve as teasers 😊 Baka sabihin ng iba napanood na nila yung tour, no need na pumunta 😅 Again, just a suggestion and more power to you both!
Hi Dada and Sweetie Great vlog 🙂 Would you add the link on how to book the trip? We were recently in Manilla, but couldn't find info on how to book a trip with a guide. At least your vlog has made up for it
Did the tour guide mention that while the USAFFE were busy fighting the Japanese facing Bataan, the Japanese also sent forces on the back such that the USAFFE were now battling on various fronts...
Just listening Kuya makes me really sad the horror of the war that the Philippines involved in WWII. When the Japanese bombarded Corrigidor and Manila. Then the Americans retook it with massive carpet bombings of the entire Metro Manila. Both the Americans and the Japanese didn't care about the civilian casualties, and the Filipinos experienced such horrific war. Kahit anong giyera or reason to be involvement of the war, war has no place in a civilized world - none at all.
