  • The Industry Foundation Classes (IFC) is an open standards for the exchange of building data models used in building design and construction across different software solutions. We are going to look at why it is important that the IFC export files are exported correctly as it is not just a simple file export.

HI, I have a question. I want to export the materials of a wall (insulation, birck ecc...) but i want to export that as a ifc type because in the other software i want to individuate that for measurement and computation. Is that possible?

Need the same answer, I got all my families materials as a base for take off.
Giuseppe Biggio if you find the correct answer can you reply to me at pfbelesa@gmail.com? Thanks in advance.

Could you add info on how annotations, ie. grids, export into ifc? The category 'grids' does not appear in my export options anymore.

I do not even know how to use the "find" function on the building smart website.
