This is 20th century classical music that I can embrace. Still tonal, has key signature, time, etc. but has something new and unique. Fresh, beautiful, creative, and passionate.
Exactly, hearing a different personality in the music when you find a new composer is nice. At some moments I can predict the next chords when I listen to composers I often listen to (although never with Ravel or Scriabin they’re too unpredictable haha)
Repent and trust in Jesus. He's the only way to Heaven. We've all sinned and deserve Hell. Sins like lying, lusting, etc. Repent and trust only in Jesus, and you will be saved! You can be saved because he took the punishment for our sins on himself when he died on the cross, just like someone can pay your speeding fine in court, and you get off free. Romans 3:23 John 3:16❤😊❤

1:32 Was that a hint at the LICC? OMG Ornstein, No wonder you were still alive when Adam Neely came into existence. No wonder God granted you 101 years of life. You invented the lick before it was a thing!

It's the same sheet music for everyone.

This has got to be one of the best things I have ever heard.
I’m happy that I found this piece
YESSSSSS
I could call this life changing and it wouldnt be hyperbolic. But time must tell.
It's been a year, how you holding up?
I see the inspiration
1:25 clair de lune
17:04 rachmaninoff sonata 2 2nd movement

he put the lick in after clair de lune too lol
also quotes Ravel's chanson romanesque at 19:20
After hearing a performance of Ornstein's "Wild Men's Dance", I am definitely surprised to hear how tonal this piece is in comparison.
Yup I was expecting those notes closer than siamese twins again, i’m glad it isn’t
1:45 the licc but in octaves
Yes the licc :) + Clair de lune
And that keeps intensifying, the funniest thing I've taken seriously in my life!
What does "licc" mean?
@@IgnatzKolisch A common melodic figure in jazz that became a meme
YES i havent found a good interpretation of this one yet so thanks for sharing one :D
The best performance of the sonata!
1:26 Clair de lune + the lick
Yes lol
Dude, that made me laugh more than it should 😂
thanks for sharing this interp! this is the best one i have heard so far
Amazing!
Huge excitement.....BRAVO!
......and STILL great....even now....a year later! BRAVO from Acapulco!
.....and yet AGAIN....even now, after having been driven from Acapulco by Hurricane Otis,......from Mexico City!
Great interpretation!

ahahahaha wtf it's true. Also there's that debussy Clair de Lune moment at 1:27

For some reason, the second movement reminds me of the themes from some preludes by Vasif Adigezalov. Amazing sonata!
Yes the first reminds me Clair de Lune main theme too
Man quotes Claire de Lune and then puts the lick after it and thinks we wouldn't notice... 1:25
(I'm kidding. It was a joke.)
Très beau !
Based
For the longest time I thought this recording was by Hamelin
right on, seems like something Hamelin would embrace
Parts sound a bit like Debussy's Claire De lune
4:50 Sorabji would be proud
0:21 sounds like Scriabin’s 9th sonata!
I don't hear it

It is not the Ornstein and Smough theme😅
3rd and 4th movements sounded Scriabinesque.
He wrote suicide in an airplane
