Yes! The music design of this game is incredibly detailed. For example Act 1 acts as introduction but has overall a very typical composition, Act 2 focusses on wind instruments and the accordion (Queen of Winds), Act 3 on electronic music and amplitude (Chaos King), Act 4 on xylophone and marching tunes (Order Queen), Act 5 on piano and guitar/banjo which seems not coherent, but they are all stringed instruments and duality and togetherness is the theme of this act (the War, Moon's Queen, Sun's King, Eclipse Duet), Act 6 on strings (King of Hearts) and Act 7 brings it all together, literally the Song in the Storm.
I'm somewhat stealing this observation from an article I read, but I wanted to mention here that this is the only song in the whole game that the Bard sings as his own song. Every other time he sings it's for ghosts, or bands, or with pirates and folk songs, whatever the case may be. But here the Bard sings a song that is all of his own, about himself, using the framework of the Hero theme which appears at the beginning of the game as well. Considering a large part of this game for all three main characters is about their relationship with feeling important, feeling like they're making a difference in the world, wanting to be the hero and the main character-- And that the theme gets stolen from The Bard completely-- I find that fact very interesting. I'm not saying the track is selfish inherently. But saving the world isn't about him, or Miriam or The Hero, or proving anyone wrong or right. That's a narrow way to look at the situation, and isn't indicative of a heroic mentality. In the end it takes the whole world's efforts to save itself, in fact. But the only reason the world comes together in the end is because of him, and his actual theme "The Bard". This song has the wrong idea, but the message is still somewhat pure because just by being himself The Bard satisfies everything he wanted. The Bard's actions make him a hero, but he never needed to be a hero or special in any way at all to make a difference, or even to prove anyone wrong. He just needed to do his best to do the right thing.
I saw this game on xbox gamepass and i thought it looked like it was worth a try. Also, i am not the kind of guy that plays games that are heavily focused on the story. However, when i tried it, i loved the mechanics, and the story i loved as well. I think this is a special kind of game, and i wish i could play it for the first time again.
