Great shots! I have been wanting to get that wigwag in action for years, you beat me to it. Weird they they shoved hoppers down the Colfax line then took them out again, repositioning storage cars I guess.
Love the vintage equipment, and as a Coug I most definitely love Pullman! I remember walking downtown past the wig wag often, and seeing BN and UP trains running through town between 1988 and 1991. Featured this video on the Wet Rails blog in the Seattle PI this morning. TH-cam doesn't allow me to add the URL here, but it can be viewed on my Google+ feed. Great stuff. Thanks for posting!
Thanks. One of the W&I engineers, Mr. King, told me at Church that they were going to be putting some cars on the Colfax line this week. I had my dorm window open and happened to hear the horn as they were coming back from Moscow. Checked out a green bike from the bike rack, and whaddya know, I was just in time to get some video of the wigwag. :)
This video just made my day! Wig wag crossing signal, F unit with a Canadian chimed K3LA, and of course the P5!
Nice video!!! It is refreshing to see something classic in a world where railroads go for the corporate "lack of character" look.
