Dark Souls 2 still is the best trailer I have ever seen in large part thanks to this soundtrack. Honestly, Dark Souls 2 is a very underrated and pointlessly viled upon masterpiece.
I think it's not the actual game that makes most people mad but the "what could have been". The trailers were super awesome and then the masked bandits for example don't appear at all, the sewer region doesn't show up (it's in Elden Ring for some reason) and stuff like that, and then the initial release was super troubled aswell.
@@bup6340 The masked enemies are in the game, they just had the masks removed because of copyright reasons I hear. They’re the manikins in Earthen Peak. The sewer also could have been repurposed into The Gutter. Like, The Gutter is where all the waste gets dumped, both metaphorically and literally.

You know what does this better now. Slave knight gael theme that shit is fire. It starts off calm slowly rising reminding you that everything is hostile and never what they truly seem to be. Then it ramps up representing all the challenges you have overcomr while still playing sad parts to represent gaels tragic backstory and your tragic backstory and the terrible things you had to do, like killing sif and all your friends that went hollow like solaire and others

They've always just been Mytha's mannequins. You notice in the cinematic trailer, the Bearer faces them in an area leading to volcanic mountains. That was supposed to be the connecting path between Harvest Valley and Iron Keep.
