is soothe like a multi-band eq? i get confused as to what it is be see lots of people use it.
@@jbraid4535 it’s technically a resonance suppressor - it reduces harsh/resonant frequencies, and you can control how much, how wide/surgical, what frequency band, etc
@@prodbrody2921 Okay interesting! So in Wicca's vocals (or just vox in general) can you use it to remove resonant low-end/base like an eq but it is removing 'less' than an eq?
@@jbraid4535 it’s more targeted. So like removing low end in a normal eq would just take out that amount all the time. Soothe will only take out a resonant peak, and only when it happens. So it can be more transparent. Doesn’t totally replace eq, but is helpful if something is a little harsh or only situationally needs cut
