My earliest memory I remember being stood by the britannia pub on the ring, all of a sudden i got a sticker on my jumper. No idea how it got there. I was 4. Then i think we went to south park.
Just over 40 years ago. All of the cars and trucks were made in the UK; not an immigrant in sight. Look what membership of the EEC / EU has done for us.
Wow...I was right there....I remember it well as a 6 year old.
Whereabouts was the venue where all the trains were exhibited? Probably not there now haha

I think it's the one going under School Aycliffe Lane (Newton Aycliffe) - binged.it/1s7hOXR - the trains approaching from the North (Shildon).
Nick Pearson didn't know there was a tunnel there, what between shildon and aycliffe?
