Driving in Eagle Mountain is terrifying. If you go the speed limit people will tailgate you, then cut you off. Police do nothing!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Everyday I drive my Mom to the bus stop 8 miles is the closest bus stop, every day this happens because I don't speed. I see sheriff's posted, they do nothing! I dare a reporter to just come drive up and down pony express going the speed limit, see what happens.

@kimberlyevans1274 we've tried. No one cares. I mean, this is the 2nd person to have a gun pointed at them in 2 weeks in the same place. Nothing ever changes. People are dying out here. It's reported all the time, look how many accidents happen in Eagle Mountain due to road rage or reckless driving, still the sheriff's sit in there cars across from the park each morning drinking coffee chatting as cars speed pass, cutting off cars obeying the laws. Yes, Utah County Sheriff's, I see you sitting there! Did you hear me honking for help as the 2 sports cars racing each other both almost hit me the other day? They had to be going more than 60 as I was going the posted speed limit of 40! There really is only one way in and out of EM from where I live and that's Pony Express, if I drive out of my way to Eagle Mountain Blvd, it's just as bad for road rage and even more dangerous being higher speed, more cars, less visibility and more congestion. It might not be so bad if we had public transportation but like I said, 8 miles to the closest bus stop that only runs early morning and then evening, to get the kids to and from the College in Lehi. Every day, as I drive the speed limit, I feel threatened, I never feel safe driving in Eagle Mountain. Im recently disabled, I only leave to take my Mom, who is also disabled, to the bus stop and to pick her up, and I am always anxious, always dreading it always scared, it's 12 minutes each way, twice a day and it still scares me.

To be honest cars became a necessity and people over time will hate it. Of course 50 years ago or even more it was decent but reality is population is growing and there is way more people now than before. Those city designers and traffic enginers realize the current system is outdated. 20 years ago i thought driving is fun but now I completely hate it because of other drivers. That feeling is reason why road rage happen.
So imagine people who hate to going from point A to B by car. I want to not use a car at all. At least fix the public transportation and make cities walkable so I don't need to rely on the car 100% of the time.
What I hate is buying grocceries because you waste like 20 mins driving there and find parking. Find the items and leave going back to parking. Also on top of that gas and adding to car mileage isn't cheap. Let me just walk there for 2 mins and buy my stuff and enjoy the surroundings and talk to other people along the way.

I had a gun pointed at me several years ago by Liberty Park in SLC by a guy that passed us on the left while we were in the turning lane and almost hit some people in the cross walk while doing so. I had to go to court against him. It was awful because his lawyers just assumed I was lying for some reason even though this man had a record and wasn’t supposed to have a gun. They also tried to say that because I couldn’t pick the gun he used out of a line up of guns that I was lying. No, sorry I’ve never been around firearms. Best part of the trial though was him saying he can’t go back to jail because he had a kid and the judge saying ‘doesn’t seem like you were worried about your kid when you were driving recklessly and pointing a gun at people.’ I’ve seen people pull guns a couple times in Utah, but only pointed at me once. The judges simply release the criminal, tell him to be sure and show up for the next court appearance, and then when the criminal doesn't show up they issue a warrant for his arrest, however no one ever follows up on the warrant and the criminal continues his criminal behavior. It's a pathetic process the judge is apparently love because they don't have to do much more.

If you don't believe me you can easily find out if there's any warrants on any particular state. Most accused people do show up for court though.
