I should have weighed mine, but it's probably about the same. Density of carbon fiber is about half as much as aluminum, which would result in the same weight of these carbon fiber parts were the same thickness as the original parts, but these carbon fiber parts are twice as thick. A lot of the carbon fiber chassis kits come with heavier aluminum parts too. Like I bought one specifically for the aluminum battery tray since the plastic battery holder on mine broke, so now mine definitely weighs a little more. Mine is the 284161, so I made up for the weight gain by removing the useless spare tire.
I just bought a k989 when I checked the weight of original VW carbon on AliExpress ads it said carbon 26g, metal 24g. I think I'll stick with the metal
