- A boast which hits the third wall will come back into the middle so if you can control the ball to have two bounces on the floor before the second side wall you will make it much more difficult for your opponent to return.
This is called a working boast and should be your standard boast.
When you practice with Boast - Drive routine you should develop the control needed to play consecutive working boasts.
I really enjoy your videos, thanks for sharing. There was no commentary during the Wilstrop/Golan clips, was this intentional or some glitch while doing the editing?
Just doing different things to vary the delivery of the information. Glad you liked it, also please like the videos. Thanks
Thank you!!! This video was so helpful and on point!!
Glad it was helpful!
Great video! Love the bonus tip on BH drop shot as well. Can't wait to try it out.
It works amazingly well, I did a video on the backhand drop so check that out as well.
working boast is a great shot from the attacking area..i Never use from the back.
I think you are right unless you can hold your shot to stop your opponents movement and still get power from a short swing which is advanced. It is a good rule to play by for an all round quality game.
Is it better to have the second bounce near to the backhand wall rather than out from it? i.e. are you aiming to have it die out right next to the wall?
You are 100% correct but it is better to under hit than overhit, if the ball is on an upward direction when it hits the second side wall it will give many options. 2 wall boasts die quicker than a 3 wall boast if you get it wrong. It is more difficult to hit a skinny boast than a fat one so practice skinny boasts till you have the feel needed to get the perfect outcome.
@@squashanalysis5670what’s a skinny boast? Fat guy asking 😂
@@squashanalysis5670I was trying this today. I've always hit boasts so that they hit the second wall and so teaching myself to hit it at a lower angle against the side wall to make it die out was really hard. I did start to get the hang of it though. I'm looking forward to using it in a game sometime. Thanks.
