Like Sennheiser’s magnificent Orpheus headphones (priced around $55,000), Simaudio's audacious Moon 888 mono amplifiers are $120,000 worth of pure, unadulterated audio bliss.

Love the sound of Sim Audio amps, creamy smooth yet powerful effortless sound.

I would love to do a blind test between these and The Carver silver 7 Tube amps Mono bloc $32,000.I believe rated at 900 watts into 8 ohms. half of that $120,000 goes into workmanship. The Moon 888 mono-bloc amps are nice to look at.

You can see on the video that the people don't understand anything about properties. Each single part of an audio system like an amp, source, loudspeaker or even cable has it's own DNA/properties. I did thousands of tests in over 18 years of time in audio. When you compare and audition Moon amps and sources you will find the same kind of DNA/properties. You can use more expensive parts and deliver more current and watts. But....it still owns the DNA of how you create products. When you compare the DNA of Moon vs Pass Labs, you will find out that it is a lot different. Pure focused on the parts you judge sound for in general ( I call it parameters) the Pass Labs own superior level of realism and is also able to creat a deeper and wider stage. The mistake I see in the video is that they use the Nordost Odin loudspeakercable. It is not a bad cable, but...also this owns his DNA/properties. I owned the Nordost Valhall loudspeaker cable for over 12 years of time. And I sold for over 9 years of time Nordost. Also a lot of Valhalla. Based on properties the Odin does not fit in the best possible. Here I can dee and understand that they are not able to judge in properties. When they would, they would never made this combination. You will loose stage depth and width. I can even proof this with ease based on facts. People in audio are not able to understand and judge by properties. They create theit systems by trial and error. They do not do why the stage and sound is what we hear. This way you only can use a small part of the full potential of this poweramp. For that it never will make sense to justify the price. People in audio need to learn to look further and focus on properties.

Bobby Kingma, I wish you were my Audiophile buddy.. I could learn a lot from you. whether it's DNA/Properties or just the way a person hear music. I have two buddies that could careless having a sub - woofer in their main systems, for me, I got to have a sub-woofer in my main system. There are certain sounds we want to hear out of our systems. A person have to decide if the sound coming from a particular system is worthy of the price they are asking for. I like Mr. Bob carver's Tube Amp, The Silver 7 Mono blocs at 32,000 pair, and Mr. Dan D'Agostino's Progression mono-blocks (45,000/pair) 800 watts into 8 ohms. Remember they are producing or making these High end amps/gear to make as much MONEY as they can, not because they love YOU. room acoustics, source material, your gear have a lot to do with how a said system will sound... I think I'll go out and buy a set of $2,000 speaker cables...yeah right :)

Until I stood up and purchased to 850p, this pre amp from simaudio is the most transparent I have ever owned. I hear music like I'm in the recording studio. Better than any valve amp period.

while watching i found it quite hard to keep my mouth close. they could have lowered the price little bit, its glamorous, you have to pay for it. pretty straight forward design. Sim Moon certainly know what they make. using their 650D with 820s... very smart sounding gear. certainly many big player now come under challenge against 888. time will tell.

areo or aircraft aluminum? Not a hell of a lot of difference between grades other than minimal strength or heat transmission

den ang probably! This high price gouging all started with $10k speaker cables and internconnects! Mfs thought if we stupid enough to pay $10k for speaker cables we surely would shell out $120k for mono amps! Now equipment just for the stupid rich! Oh well!

I don’t care if it makes me dinner and cleans my house, I do have the means to buy that and I would never wast money like that what a joke there’s nothing in the production or manufacturing of that product that condones that price (nothing)
