    I absolutely love reading all of these lousy comments about who's country is bigger and better. lol Nobody wins a nuclear war. All sides lose hundreds of millions of people. All sides are thrown back to the stone ages, and there want be any law and order for decades to come. I wish you all lady like luck in your debates.

      John Shackleton USA do have anti-ballistic air defense in Europe that can stop most of those missiles before coming to USA ... i mean if Russia did bombed USA and Europe.
      some states "middle and southern" in USA and UK and maybe Spain will survived ... but Russia and Europe will get exterminated.
      why do you think Russia trying to take over Ukraine ??
      they are trying to have more space to secure their defenses against USA and Europe.

    • @jmpompey1
      @jmpompey1 9 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      John Shackleton This just ranks the missiles capable of carrying the biggest bomb highest, and since the Russians didn't have the same level of missile accuracy as the US so they developed larger warheads to compensate. The most deadly system is Trident which can carry upto 14 warheads on a single missile.
      Globalization is what's keeping nations like China and the US at bay.

    • @MrMegacurie
      @MrMegacurie 9 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Uprising-Pulse Russia still has enough ICBM`s-/SLBM`s to saturate any defense capability.
      They have also a lot of SRBM`s to attack the ABM launch sites in europe
      A nuclear war between Russia and the NATO will bring awesome destruction to all of us, europe, russia and the USA

    • @MrMegacurie
      @MrMegacurie 9 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Kevin Maguire the most deadly system is still the RS-20(SS-18) with a payload of 8800kg, more than 3 times the payload of the Trident2 D5 (2800kg). The RS-20 is capable to carry up to 24MIRV with 500kt each, but not realized because of START(RS20a2)
      Actually it carries 10 warheads between 800kt and 1Mt each
      Trident 2 D5 carries up to 8 W88 (8x475kt) (also because of START)

    A few things that you can be assured of after watching this is:
    1) all of these have already been outclassed by more advanced and efficient missiles
    2) even at the time of this video, there are other missiles equally as deadly or more that hadn't been disclosed
    3) in all honesty, the assumption that any one of these are leaps better than any other missile on the list is really kind of pointless. As long as the missile has a decent range and speed and as long as it can carry a nuclear war head, it's going to be absurdly destructive so why even compare them?
    When comparing the nations who have the means to wage nuclear war, the only points worth discussing are the amount of war heads owned, the means they have to deploy them, and the distance in which the war heads can travel, and the strength of their missile defense at home. It would be pointless to discuss the destructive power of the missiles you own if you don't have an efficient way to deploy them and also it would be futile to engage in a nuclear war if your home front cannot properly defend itself from a nuclear war head barrage on your front door. So basically, the nation with the best bombers, nuclear submarines, naval destroyers, and missile defense would be top dog I would think in everyone's mind.
    That being said, Russia and the United States stand as the most powerful nations on the planet, and to be honest it's not something to be proud of.

    I'm thinking the U.S. needs to re-deploy the LGM-118A Peacekeeper missile....
    It's more modern than the LGM-30 Minuteman III system.....and had better MIRV capability
    If it were in service, I wonder where it would have made it on this list?

    I clearly remember that October day in 1990 when Curtis Lemay passed away. I was working directly under a retired Colonel who had retired after 36 years in the Air Force in about 1980. We were both with the DoD, (stationed at the same Aerospace Facility). I was just a "pup" with 11 years in. I walked into the Colonel's office and paid my respects. He had worked closely with Lemay for a bit in the late 1950's and 1960's. We both knew that Lemay had on 3 or 4 occasions called for the USA to launch a "First Strike" against the Soviet Union. Few men, even that high in the military establishment, had ever pushed his views on the POTUSA to actually do "it". Lemay was a national hero, but was also one of the few men on Earth that almost extinguished civilization. Mixed feelings at his loss to say the least...

    • @Robsay01
      @Robsay01 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      No mixed feelings here. Lemay was a sociopath who used the military for “cover.” Not only Russia but he wanted to nuke China too. It would have only been a matter of time before they hit us back the same.

    The TEL based ICBMs and the SLBMs are far more deadly than silo based ICBMs. A submarine carrying say a Trident 2 missile can close to minimum launch range drastically reducing reaction time. Both submarine and TEL based ICBMs are mobile and pretty much impossible to eliminate in a preemptive strike.

If you use a hand grenade there is a tiny, tiny chance that you kill the other guy without hurting yourself too much or Bleeding Out. That's the difference between conventional war and nuclear war. I would really not bet on that tiny chance.

    US UGM-133 Trident II is the most dangerous simply because its submarine launched. First two are ICBMs launched from Russia and China so have much longer flight times plus their launch location is static, unlike submarine launched nukes. There is a good reason why America keeps the lions share of its nuclear deterrent on subs rather than in nuke silos.

    • @isadanjan4762
      @isadanjan4762 11 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Dangerous(Trident2) only in terms of the LSBM type, when the same RS28 is the most dangerous class in ICBM - even if you put these missiles into general statistics, then the Russian one is still better. Sarmat even more so tolerates hypersonic HGV modules that can strike with a force of 2 megatons, and the total power when reaching MIRV warheads will generally be 50 megatons + range 18.000 km.

  • @dingarling8798
    @dingarling8798 9 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    I am not sure what qualifies one ICBM to be deadlier than another. Its not like ICBM will be fired at other ICBM , or will they? They all do essentially the same job and all would be exceedingly difficult to defend against. Maybe payload? but also reliability needs to be a top priority.

    Completely disagree with the list. Without a shadow of doubt the number 1 should be Trident ii. The reasons why:
    1) it is submarine launched and has better "strategic" capability.
    2) they have a range that enable them to hit any target anywhere in the word.
    3) they can be launched and hit their target within 40 minutes...this is quicker than it takes any other of the missiles on this list just to get targeting information programmed (ie: better first strike capability)
    4) the American mark 5 missile carries 14 MIRVs each with a yield of 475kt. Each one of the MIRVs have a CEP of less than 120meters.
    Sorry but no missile can touch Trident...not even close!

      And how old are Tridents II D5 as same their lounch platform Ohio subs, do they have any countermeasures against advanced missile deffence systems! The Russian Borei subs are by the far newer and so Bulava ICBMs! Not to mention that S 400 & future S 500 will destroy many us missiles!

    • @PamweChete2503
      @PamweChete2503 9 ปีที่แล้ว

      Evil Eye Trident ii can be fired from multiple launch platforms and not just Ohio subs, even the British Trafalgar class submarines are armed with trident ii. With regards to the age of the missiles, there have been numerous upgrades and modifications that keep this missile cutting edge. Its hard to improve perfection!!!
      With regards missile defense systems, re-entry velocities of the MIRVs are in excess of 6000 meters / second. At this speed most objects would vaporize due to the friction. The MIRVs are protected by 1 inch thick Carbon-Carbon composite, and this allows them to survive re-entry. The MIRv's were designed by the infamous Dr Gerald Bull, who was arguably the worlds greatest expert on ballistics and aerodynamics. In addition to lightning speed re-entry they also have the ability for "non parabolic variable trajectory", which makes it impossible for interception.

      barn2503 First of all. Some of the ICBM in this list can be launched by a submarine. Second a submarines range is far worse than a silo. Third submarine fired nuclear warhead is far more dangerous since submarines are vulnerable when firing.

Having the moral high ground is not much solace when YOUR ground glows in the dark. Who would the U S address their woes to? The United Nations?!!! The majority of the delegates would happily dance on the U S collective grave. No, this is the 21st century with every tin pot dictator and religious fanatic lusting after thermonuclear weapons and having the U S squarely in their ground zero sights.

      1Klooch LIquid fueled missiles CANNOT be used as first strike. There's no sneak attack when you are running hundreds of crews with fuel trucks out to the silos, opening those silos, running hoses, etc, all under the eyes of a couple KH surveillance satellites. The maker of the video knows zero about actually military application of these devices. They cannot be fueled and left sitting in silos because the fuel is corrosive and would destroy the missile.

    • @thesolesurvivor8096
