First look and install of ARK XO 750 Jockey Wheel after having a cheap version failed. Will this jockey wheel prove itself in time. #ARK #Jockey #Wheel #Trailer
@Paz Rahn I just bought this same Jockey hoping it would somehow work for a drawbar size 120mm because Ark said a washer to fill the gap would work. I am yet to open the pack and figure out what they actually mean. But need to install it by tomorrow before we go away on a caravanning trip. What adjustments you had to do to fit on your drawbar? Is it limiting you for any of the jockey wheel's functionality? Any other tips that might be helpful? Thanks heaps in advance 😊
Ok Lucky you messaged me. Ive hit mine with the rear of the ARB step as the jockey wheel is quite boxy. So either I need to extend the tow ball or just main issue my draw bar is not long enough. Overall it's a good jockey wheel but my issue is hitting the back.
@@PissTakeProduction Thanks for responding mate. I am not sure if I am following. Do you mean you are not able to extend it out long enough to have it up when not in use? Also, did you have to do any adjustments to fit it on to your drawbar? For example, both top and bottom bolts are supposed to go through the drawbar but I see your top ones are sitting on top of the drawbar, not sure if the bottom ones are through the drawbar? And the bit about max moving height, do you mean you are having to extend it past moving height to unhitch the caravan from the car because of your drawbar size or is it just how they are designed? Thanks :)
@@zakshaikh5659 I didnt have to worry about drilling the holes into the drawbar. You will see that the bolt pattern allows to go under and over. Ok with tight turning i.e jack knife the trailer too tight to the vehicle rear I hit the jockey wheel unfortunately as it is bigger than a standard jockey wheel. I'll do a video on that. The winding pin hit the rear back of my car. It's a good jockey wheel just that my camper trailer is short unfortunately that's why it hits.
@@PissTakeProduction Ah I see what you mean by hitting your car with it. Our van has a similar short drawbar, so I will have to see if it will be too tight on ours too. I am thinking maybe before folding it back up, adjusting it's height in such a way that the top part is minimally out facing towards the car.
If you spin the back plate and the back arms 180 degrees they will be pointing down I have just fitted one on my van and that's what done
Awesome. At the time no other videos on it.
Maybe you could split a couple of pool noodles and cable-tie them over the protrusions? Certainly a good idea if you've got kids running around.
Ended up removing jockey wheel as it protruded to much hitting the rear arb step.
you could U shape bracket instead of the one they provide?
If you have the tools and workshop to make it yer why not.
@@PissTakeProduction you buy the U shape bracket to suite the size, they are not expensive.

Put it at the bottom and you will get more height to
You cant as the draw bar size doesnt work with the bolt hole distances
Agreed. First time I used it, it maxed the height. So I lowered the setup like you describe. Worked perfectly
What size is your drawbar?
120mm
