This MV was my intro to BTS so it has a solid place in my heart. Absolutely 10/10. Not just because it's BTS and the first song I heard from them, but because I love the lyrics Wich I can relate to very well, but also the choreography and the symbolism in the MV. To me, this song is perfect as it is. But hey, I'm definitely not a professional 😄

3 things we cant deny about bts: they are monster dancers, killing vocalists (3 of the best rappers e 4 of the best vocalists from kpop), and amazing composers and producers. If you dont think the same, probably havent seen enough yet. The "tiny desk concert" and the "proof live" (this one is right before they pause for solo carrers and military enlistment) are really nice performances to know them better. If you want voice "your eyes tell". If you want dance "on kinect manifesto". If you want rap "cypher 3: killer".
Ahhh, and all of them with really meaningful lyrics.

This song is inspired by Martha Graham's quote, “a dancer dies twice - once when they stop dancing, and this first death is the more painful.” They are actually talking about what would happen if, they now longer loved what they do. It's also based on the famous ballet Black Swan. A story about 2 swans, one white/good and one black/evil. In most modern productions, the 2 swans are danced by one dancer. It symbolizes the struggle within oneself between light and dark. BTS wrote a whole series of songs about the shadow self based on the works of Jung and Herman Hesse's Daemian. This song is in that series. Like they say, look deeper.
Since you don't care for RM's voice in this song, I really recommend his newest song, Wildflower and Cypher 2. He is the main rapper, and he was formed by his Hip Hop idols.
If you want to see depth of emotion, Born Singer, House of Cards, The Truth Untold, Outro:Tear and watch them live.
    Peace out 😘💜💜💜💜💜💜💜🫰🏻

I wanted to take a moment to talk to you about something that's been on my mind lately. I'm a huge fan of BTS, and I feel like I need to clear up a misconception that some people have about them.
While it's true that BTS is an incredibly talented group of musicians, singers, and dancers, they are so much more than that. They are artists in every sense of the word. Their music speaks to people all over the world, and their message of love, self-acceptance, and social awareness is more important now than ever before.
BTS is a group that has worked hard to break down barriers and stereotypes, and they have done so with incredible grace and humility. They are not just entertainers, they are activists, advocates, and role models for millions of people.
So, the next time someone tells you that BTS is just a group of guys who can sing and dance, I hope you'll remember that they are so much more than that. They are a force for good in the world, and their impact is truly immeasurable. They helped me a lot in Life..so i dont think i am overreacting..
Thank you for taking the time to read this, and I hope you'll continue to support BTS in all that they do. 💜

I appreciate the honest thoughts! You might enjoy songs like The Truth Untold which is a ballad with more poetic lyrics, or House of Cards which is a darker jazz number. Those two songs really show off what the 4 vocalists can do.
For bigger group numbers you might also try Spring Day, Fake Love or Blood Sweat and Tears. These three songs have surface level catchy-ness, but can also be interpreted in a more meaningful way, especially with the added symbolism hidden in their music videos. One thing I appreciate about BTS is the level of intellectualism they incorporate into their work while also being catchy and not taking themselves too seriously.

The robotic voices and the monotonous melody express the concept of the song, not feeling anything, losing passion for the music. “A dancer dies twice-once when they stop dancing, and this first death is more painful.
Martha Graham". Jimin did the dance solos, he is a contemporary dancer.

I appreciate the honest reactions but saying that RM’s voice doesn’t match their songs is wild to me lol. I mean you can say that YOU personally don’t like the contrast between their voices but to say it doesn’t match the song when the song has such a somber vibe is ludicrous to me. I personally LOVE RM’s voice, both rapping and singing. The contrast he sets up always go perfect with the lyrics he writes, I think the song he did with V called 4 o’clock perfectly encapsulates how good RMs voice is, both singing and rapping.

I would like to recommend "Outro: tear live performance" (it has subtitles) by the rap line (this song was written while the group was considering a breakup) and "The truth untold live stage mix" by the vocal line of BTS( song has a background story & massage is to love yourself ) . Most songs of BTS have background stories and some songs are really deep and meaningful . Ofcourse you can have your own interpretations but real meanings are much more deeper most of the time💜️

Hmmm...I've never thought of RM's verse as out of place. Maybe just because I've heard so many other songs with RM's voice. So often we as humans are put off by things just because it wasn't what we expected. RM's voice is lovely in so many places. I would say his solo Moonchild might be my favorite. The Truth Untold would be a song where they emote particularly well. I would suggest more but we've already done enough of that. I appreciate you giving them another listen and obviously I hope you continue.

Maybe he just not used to sudden heavy autotune during RM’s part. That’s what i felt personally when i first know bts, but when i started viewing their live performances i appreciate RM’s voice more and of course his genius lyrics. Not only RM but most of them add some autotune in studio version, but when during live they nailed it, even without the autotune, they are even better live actually. As someone reacted to them before said, he understand they put the autotune to make more impact or to deliver the song better doesn’t necessarily mean the singer need the autotune or a bad singer smthg like that

i thought i had read that the production/engineering was purposeful and flattened the vocals, to reflect the "burnout" of lyrics. kpop is not a genre by the way, member suga said it's best defined as integrated content. so it compasses every genre just like the US music industry does. last, i think to read subtitles of a song doesn't really give the listener a sense of their true greatness. yeah, it says something, but How is it said? which can only be ascertained by a native speaker, eg, if you watch their Ugh! Explained by a Korean it will make you realize how much one needs to know Korean language and culture to get the full understanding of the greatness of their lyrics. i was so grateful to have watched this video, many army recommend it, i hope you'll watch it the message is very important and timely. after falling in love w BTS many people learn Korean, i wish i could enjoy their lyrics fully. eg, even when i listened to member Jimin's #LikeCrazy, currently #1 on BillboardHot100 (he made major history, and only 65 songs previous have premiered at #1 since the chart began in 1958), hearing the all-English version, it just was more enjoyable to be able to understand the language while sung even when i was already familiar with the message.

Thank you for being honest! That's a breath of fresh air. I think I understand most of what you said. I would really love to hear your opinion on Indigo, the latest album of BTS's leader, RM (the guy whose voice you didn't like😄). I think you might like some of the songs. I felt the same thing about his voice when I first listened to Black Swan. But with each listen I started appreciating his voice in the song, so much so that now I feel that only his delivery could do justice to the lyrics in that part. (He is my "bias" though). I should also point out that he is mainly a rapper and not a singer although he does sometimes contribute vocally to the songs. And he is an amazing lyricist. He has collaborated with artists like Erykah Badu, Anderson Paak, EpiK High (Tablo), etc in Indigo. Hope you are able to do it one day. Have a great day!😊

I understand your point about vocals, being raised by the western music I also prefer when vocals reflect the message of the song. However, for me personally BTS should be approached from a different perspective. Suga (one of the members) once defined their songs being integrated content which combines lyrics, music, visuals, makeup etc.
This specific song was inspired by the quote of Martha Graham ‘Dancer dies twice. First time when he stops dancing and this first death is the most painful’. The BTS album which this song is part of reflects on Carl Jung theory of Ego, Shadow and Persona which are different sides of all humans (to simplify Persona we show to the public, Ego is how we see ourselves and Shadow is the part of ourselves which we are not aware of). So these two references set a background of the song and are reflected throughout the music video.
The lyrics refers to the quote but from a music perspective as BTS are mostly musicians, the are afraid of burnout. The music production reflects the burnout feeling by flattering their voices making them less emotional and by auto tune which adds some ‘robotic feeling’ (again removing emotional part). Don’t know whether you’ve ever experienced that but when you burnout you indeed feel empty.
If you pay attention to the music video you could notice that members wear white when they are on stage (their spotless persona or you could also call it public image), black when they are off stage (their Ego) and in most locations you could also see moving shadows (their unknown part).
They also convey their message in different scenes, for example, there is a mirror scene when Jin turns his face to the camera but his images in mirror do not move. You could interpret it in different ways but I personally see it as him being trapped by his public image and expectations of others.
And you could find quite some references and other layers when you digest the MV as a whole (music, voices, lyrics, scenery, dance movements etc.). The good thing about BTS is that you could choose yourself when to stop (e.g. just enjoy the tune and the music).
If you like emotional vocals I would recommend to listen to The Truth Untold (life performance with subtitles). It’s vocal line only but they convey the message beautifully.
Thank you so much for your reaction and opinion. I’m interested in hearing more from you 💜

Honest opinions are always good, the "dudes" voice you didn't like wasn't singing (though he can) the contrast in styles is jarring ..it's supposed to be i think. But yeah, the flattening out and the lack of expressiveness is part of this particular performance's messaging. They tend to integrate their performances with the message well.

With "Black Swan," BTS divulge their most harrowing shadow yet, one that any person who lives for making art faces: losing the passion for creating.
"A dancer dies twice - once when they stop dancing, and this first death is the more painful." Martha Graham. This quote is at the root of the sentiments inlaid in "Black Swan." Much like a dancer feels purposeless when they can no longer express themselves through dance, BTS contends that the day that music no longer fills them with the same passionate fire as before, or even if there came a day when they stopped creating music - what they feel is their life's purpose - it would feel like death.
RM sings, "If this can no longer resonate / No longer make my heart vibrate / Then this may be how I die my first death."
Once again, BTS affirm that despite their countless record-breaking accolades, the wealth they've amassed, and their ever-increasing fame, they are artists. What means most to them is the art - music, visuals, dances - that they create.💜

I like your honest reaction and thank you for not catering to appease the audience.
As someone mentioned Black Swan is part of the album Map of the Soul 7 and the entire album’s theme is based on Carl Jung theory individuation. The album’s song list is also set up to mimic an individual’s personal journey of self discovery which is divided in three parts: PERSONA (rap song by RM), SHADOW (rap by SUGA, and EGO (rap by JHope). Black Swan is a song right before Shadow.
As you noticed in the MV they were performing on stage or inside a theater. It goes with the “persona” theme of BTS questioning themselves of who they are and the image they put in the public eye. I hope you continue with your BTS journey and 8 is a great score, but I hope someday we can turn that 8 to at least a 9.5 😉😂. I love Black Swan, it’s one of my favorite and I hope someday you will revisit the song again on your own time and appreciate it even more.
Also I heard you mention in the BlackPink reaction that you actually “prefer(?)” rap or something along that line. So, I too would love your reaction to OUTRO: TEAR one of my favorites. For aesthetic look also, please use the performance at Wembley where they’re all wearing black outfit.

  • @mimiv6801
    @mimiv6801 ปีที่แล้ว +9

Thank you for the reaction, we can appreciate an honest opinion, but to me it seems as if their deep meaning/feeling of this song that they wanted to convey is flying over your head so to speak, because you don't know them.
I mean you know what the song is about but not how deep it resonates with them.
Just the thought of losing the feeling for (making) music, to them is devastating because up 'till now BTS is their life.
The youngest member was just 14 years old when he started.
They are called the hardest working band for a reason, especially by western artists. They had gruesome schedules and kept making music (with deadlines because they delivered new albums about every 6 to 8 months) in their hotel rooms whilst being on world tours.
They only had just two very short breaks in their whole career before covid ruined their 2020 world tour.
And they were preparing even then, during the covid pandemic, for online concerts and big tv / award shows like the Grammy's.
And now they're busy making and doing their solo projects before entering their compulsory military service.
I think it would be good to know more about BTS as a group and the members first and what they've gone through in their long career, and then listen to their music.
Also the order of listening to their songs can be helpfull because they have a big catalogue and a wide range of music.
Because, if you listen to their lighter songs like Butter or Dynamite first, you might think that they are superficial, that BTS is cookie cutter k-pop but I can guarantee you they are not.
On top of that they also have done great solo projects including mix-tapes, collabs and art-projects.
BTS stands out in k-pop land because they're able to make, write and produce their own music and their unique way of incorporating Korean culture.
    I recommend watching
"A guide to BTS members: The Bangtan 7" by Taylor Mari.
    It will make a difference.
Then you'll know their "color", what they stand for, and understand the lyrics more because they can be very profound.
If you go through with exploring BTS...enjoy the ride.

I’m glad you liked this song (even if you didn’t like my man Namjoon’s voice lol 🥲). I absolutely love this song and what it says about burnout. When they wrote these lyrics, BTS had been making music for almost a decade, and their inevitable mandatory military service was looming over the horizon. Looking back, I can see how these lyrics reflected their fears about losing their love of music during the upcoming hiatus. Thankfully, that has not happened as so far their solo careers are going great! 💜
I will tell you that there’s no “K-pop sound,” as you described it. It’s an industry, not really a genre, and BTS itself has a HUGE discography spanning a variety of genres and mixtures of genres.
Here are some additional songs with substantial lyrics as you continue down this road:
    “The Truth Untold”
    “FAKE LOVE”
    “Spring Day”
    “Blood, Sweat, and Tears”
And idk how you feel about rap, but here are some rap-heavy suggestions:

    - “Ddaeng” (but watch DKTV’s explanation video afterward bc the wordplay in this song is INSANE)
And I’m throwing in a couple of Namjoon recs bc I gotta defend my boy 😭: “Wild Flower” (feat Youjeen) and “Still Life” feat Anderson.Paak.

@@AikenReviews I recommended those two songs because of the emotion in their voices as you wanted to hear it, similar to if you listened to their song Sea. It's the music videos you wouldn't understand.
For Spring Day the song was written about friends, but the director of the music video took it further hence the explanation videos out there. For Eternals, the music video recreated scenes from previous music videos through animation to where they ended up now because of their fans, it's a fan song.
Whether you listen to them now or later is fine, but that is my reasoning to have you listen -- the emotion in their voices.

When approaching new art, it’s best to come from a lens of curiosity before critique. You need to actually understand art before you can criticize it. You don’t understand BTS or their art yet. You should have your learning hat on right now, not your analysis hat. BTS makes art that is way too complex to understand at first glance. Additionally, they are album artists who make albums and album series that tell complex stories. One song from it won’t give you the full picture so it’s pretty pointless to try to analyze a single song from them that is displaced from its overall story. Additionally, they use the production to further tell that story so you’re simply not going to get it without diving deeper. Good luck though because you seem determined to critique something you just don’t get.

someone told you in the comments already but to add onto it, the song isn't about them not loving music as much anymore but about the fear of losing their passion for it. the song is inspired by the quote "a dancer dies twice, once when they stop dancing, and this first death is the most painful one" by marta graham, instead of dancing they made it about music. as an artist, you're always afraid of losing your passion, but the scarier part is that you don't really know how, when and where will it happen, so living with that uncertainty of the fact that you don't know when you're going to suffer "your first death" is actually more terrifying than the moment it happens in itself.

Hi, I re-watched this reaction and thought I would add some info about the Black Swan song/video and I hope you have time to read it because I think you may like to understand a little more. It is not about them losing interest in music but about the FEAR of losing it and if it happens now what would that mean.
Black Swan is part of the Map of the Soul (MOTS) album set comprising MOTS Persona and MOTS 7 albums. They explore Jungian theories of the persona, shadow and ego in the series. In Black Swan they sing about their shadow self, which for them is their fear of losing passion for their music, and if that fear materialises it will be like dying their first death, more painful than their actual death - taken from a quote from Martha Graham about a dancer no longer able to dance. The shadows in the MV move independently of the singers as they are not in control of that fear at this point. The Jungian theory is that you need to accept all aspects of yourself, so face your fears and acknowledge they are there to become a complete person. At one point in the MV, Suga reaches out and touches his shadow on the wall saying he looked inside and saw himself, he has seen and acknowledged his fear/shadow self. When they are dressed in white they are being viewed from the audience perspective - this is their Persona selves, what they display to the public. When they are wearing black they are being viewed from behind the stage or behind the scenes and this is their shadow selves. At the end scene, JK is watching his shadow and accepting his fear as part of himself so the shadow shrinks and disappears.
This is an extremely clever MV, dance, and song to portray their acceptance of their shadows, their fears, acknowledging them and continuing on despite the fear, growing as a person to understand their true selves.
As you said their vocals were not as emotional for such a deep song, I think this is because they are showing in the vocals the feeling of being stuck in a rut with no way out, kind of dispondant. I hope you can watch the MV again with this in mind.
RM's voice that you mentioned doesn't quite fit, maybe watching him in his element as a rapper would be helpful. I particularly appreciate his voice in Ddaeng and Cypher Part 2. He can change his voice to achieve different feelings and in these songs you can hear a gentler tone, less raspy. RM is a lyrical genius, he turned his poetry to rap lines and songs for BTS.
Anyway, sorry for rambling and adding this comment so late to this reaction, I needed time to reflect on what to say. Appreciate your reactions and please keep your honesty as that is what I really value.

I do think that while some of the defensive comments from ARMYs on here are teetering on the verge of rude, it is very important to understand that BTS is a very complex group with ten years of complex history and to treat the journey of discovery as such. They are an anomaly in both the Korean and Western music industries as they came into both with zero privilege or influence and are only where they are today because of their talent, humanity and love for their art. I've seen many fans ask what your musical taste is to provide better recommendations but have only seen you answer them with "much love" which comes accross as pretty dismissive and superficial and I can understand why this could cause some to think of you as insincere. If you genuinely want to open your mind and understand our boys the fandom will support you all the way. But if you don't that's cool, just don't continue half-heartedly 💜

This is a good reaction! It's honest without being rude and your thoughts are well explained. I'm sure people have explained what the song was actually about. There is another version of this song with performing dance performed by a dance group. Was really good and had a more classical music vibe. Maybe you'll come across that one day. Idk if you want to take a look at House of Cards? Autumn Leaves and Hold Me Tight as well? Those 3 are b-sides and more dark romance which is my fav genre lol. If you decide to check them out there are lyric videos though I recommend taking a look at proper lyrics online if the song appeals. Without knowing your music taste I'm not too sure what to recommend tbh. BTS has a very big discography that spans many genres and they address many topics both aa BTS and as solo artists. I hope you continue to check them out.

That guy's voice you don't like happens to be the person who wrote this song and is also a great rapper. By the way, there are 3 rappers, all fantastic in their own way and 4 unique vocalist . I don't much care how.you.feel your opinion is your own. I don't like the Army's trying to convince you to like them. Yes, it is nice to open someone mind to new things, but I get the feeling that you weren't going to like this type of music no matter what. Good luck with your journey. Who are you again?

Yeah - I don’t mind if this guy doesn’t like BTS’s music but to be honest he’s not really giving them a chance. The only things he seems to think about is how much money was spent on the mv, that they dance and whether the song is catchy. He is barely paying attention to the lyrics so doesn’t understanding anything beyond the surface. I gave him a shot but the dismissive attitude is irritating. Time to hit the “DONT RECOMMEND THIS CHANNEL” button.

The first time I watched Black Swan I thought it was pretty, but nothing special. The more I learned about BTS, and about the lyrics and meaning, the more I came to love it. I also didn't care for
RM's vocals in the beginning, and now his solo albums are my comfort music. That's one of the great things about music, it is fluid, and the way it affects us changes as we grow and live life. I hope you continue giving BTS a chance, I look forward to seeing more of your reactions. I truly think you will appreciate their live performances, especially So What and The Truth Untold stage compilation. And you can't go wrong with their Tiny Desk Concert and their 2021 Festa Room. Borahae!

    Thanks for this reaction.:)
I recommend ON kinetic manifesto film after Black Swan.
Black Swan is a song that expresses their fear of losing their passion for music.
And ON is their determination to overcome that fear and move on to the future. :)
BTS member Jin said in his acceptance speech at the 2018 MAMA that BTS suddenly became famous worldwide and had a hard time for a year due to great pressure and fear. They even thought about disbanding. However, after a year of talking and contemplating with the members, they decided to stay in the industry only for the fans and members, and move forward.
The albums that have been released since then are Map of the Soul series. The albums are filled with songs that reconsider their inner self, the relationship between the seven members, and the relationship between them and fans. Black Swan, ON, Boy with Luv, and We are Bulletproof : the Eternal are one of those songs.
Boy with Luv contains a message that they will fly toward fans, not the sun, with wings attached by ARMY.
After listening to Black Swan, you can better understand how they feel by reading ON's lyrics. :)
And at the last October's concert in Busan, SUGA told ARMY to grow old together because they will make music for another 20 or 30 years.😭
The lyrics of BTS' songs are based on their own experiences, and their albums are organic because they contain their growth narrative.
It will also be fun to listen to their albums in order and analyze them. :)
Oh, there're many good Black Swan live performances. These are my favorite lives. :)

Since you don't like Namjoon's voice in this song, I'm going to suggest you check out some of his solo work and songs with the rap line. He's mainly a rapper and secondarily a singer. A few solos are Change, Joke and Wildflower. As for rap line, try Cypher Part 1, 2, 3 and 4, and Ddaeng. There is flexing, but if you overlook your dislike for that specifically and listen to the rapping, you should enjoy them. They're so much more but I'll leave that to others.

I'll give some recommendations, although I'm honestly just fishing in the dark, what genres do you tend to gravitate towards? Because these guys are so diverse I literally feel like there's music in their discography for anyone willing to listen with an open mind...
Some that I think you might like based on your feedback so far:
Full vocal line (Jin, Jimin, V, and Jungkook):
    Truth Untold
    House of Cards
    Zero O'clock
    Solo songs from the vocalists:
    Jin:
    The Astronaut (w/coldplay)
Epiphany (gorgeous song about self love, I cried the first time I heard it)
Moon (#5 on Rolling Stone's top boyband songs of all time)
    Jimin:
    Lie (haunting)
    Serendipity (beautiful and sweet)
Like Crazy (off his solo debut album Face)
    V:
Singularity (RnB KING, this song is so smooth you'll wanna spread it on your toast)
Stigma (more RnB goodness, with a moment that made my jaw drop the first time I heard it)
Sweet Night (so beautiful, it's from the soundtrack for itaewon class.)
    Jungkook:
Euphoria (He literally flew over Wembley and sang this at one point, I could never.)
Still With You (self released song during the pandemic for the fandom)
Begin (song about how much he loves his team members and how they're like brothers to him)
    Solo songs from the rappers:
    RM:
Wildflower feat Yoojin (from his solo debut album Indigo. This is gorgeous)
Closer feat Paul Blanco (also from his solo album. SMOOTH)
Moonchild (I CRY at this song. It's from his mixtape Mono.)
    Suga:
    The Last (honest and raw)
Interlude: Set me Free (very mellow, moody and atmospheric, gave me Dirty Vegas vibes)
People pt. 2 feat IU (JUST dropped, it's the prerelease for his solo debut album D-Day)
    J-Hope:
Equal Sign (from his solo debut album Jack in the Box I love this one)
Daydream (from his Hope World mixtape, bright and boppy)
Ego (From their Map of the Soul 7 album. Fun and upbeat)
    Full group songs:
Fake Love (one of my core BTS songs. It's kind of a must)
On (Check out the kinetic manifesto video if you like choreography)
Spring Day (our QUEEN. This ballad hasn't left the charts in south korea since it's release in 2017)
Save Me and I'm Fine (I recommend these together because they're kind of 2 halves of the same coin, I don't know how else to explain it)
Ok, sorry for the novel, hope it's a little useful. I really hope you keep checking them out, I promise they'll surprise you!

In the previous video and in this one, from the beginning, each of your ideas and comments was accompanied by a minimizing word and contempt for work... the only positive thing you said was that they are good dancers. I say this because you may not like the music, but if you are not going to take the trouble to listen first, your word is useless. RM's voice is my favourite, but in this video he hardly made any sound you said it wasn't suitable...that was rushed! I understand that you have a preconception because you have even classified kpop as "all the same" and it is pop... like the pop from your country that has similar features. Another thing, the source that you used as a reference to understand this song is wrong, don't use it anymore if you don't want to be embarrassed. Obviously, it's your decision. Bye! ☺️

  • @lansjwpaw

You might want to try their Festa 2021 video, which is a live medley of songs from across their discography. It's a mix of styles but it's live and the vocals are clean. You might find something you like in that group of songs, most of which are B sides. As far as the vocal manipulation goes in Black Swan, it seems to be part of the song's style in two ways. The production choices on BTS songs are usually pretty specific and well thought out. The string instrument used in Black Swan is a gayageum, a traditional Korean string instrument that can add vibrato to the note. So the vocal manipulation fits the soundscape that the instrument creates. If they used a guitar or a harp, the vocals might have sounded much more out of place. But I think the voice manipulation is also supposed to be the voice in his head echoing his doubts. It's not supposed to be a clear, clean voice of certainty or clarity.

This song is about BEING AFRAID of losing their ability to do what they want to do.
Here in the song they mentioned first death.
For a singer or dancer their first death is them not being able to sing or dance.
BTW i don't think RM's voice is a put off, its just different and unique which is making the song even better.
I honestly LOVED RMs part in the mv, it just made the enjoyment better.
ALSO, RM mainly is a rapper and sometimes contributes to vocals, so keeping that in mind i think it was an amazing job done by RM.
and you'll get used to it if u keep going.
No offence to you but if you go deep into BTS, you will love them even more.
    AGAIN NO OFFENCE.

I feel like you should watch 162 genres in kpop by wisp
Kpop is an industry separate from normal music esp with the fact that there is Korean artists outside of kpop. It’s easy to get confused but even if kpop is separate from mainstream music it doesn’t limit the genres or styles they can explore. Although title tracks of kpop songs are structured differently specifically in a sense it has to be danceable and memorable (explaining the use of repetition on specifically title tracks)

I don’t agree with you (😁) BUT I appreciate your honest feedback. Music is subjective so, more than anything, I thank you for listening to BTS with an open mind.
If you want to hear some of their more emotionally-driven song, you might want to listen to:
    Louder than Bombs (no MV)
    Truth Untold (no MV)
    Spring Day (MV)
I also see you have Friday Night Lights by J.Cole (also an inspiration for BTS). So you might want to watch Born Singer (no MV).
Finally, you have Ed Sheeran’s album up. He wrote a song for BTS called Make It Right (MV).
