The streamlined Auto Union Type C was specially shaped for top speed on Avus circuit near Berlin. At that time, it was the fastest track in the world. The evocative shape of this racing car must have caused a sensation in 1937. With the Porsche-designed V16 engine, this car reached nearly 400 km/h (284 mph) in the 30's!
