Trinidad All Stars Spectacular Performance at Taste of Carnival 2022

- Massy Trinidad All Stars had the audience dancing in the aisles and in their seats with this performance of the song "The Unknown Steelband" originally sung by Superblue. The steelband was taking part in The Musical Showdown event which replaced Panorama for this year. Each band in the competition had to play two songs: a pop tune and a panorama arrangement of any soca tune. The audience votes for the best performing steelband in the medium band and large band categories.

40 years? Our struggle goes back much longer than that. Anthony get your facts right. Please give more credit to the founders who more than 80 years ago when drums were banned risking imprisonment started to beat on discarded pots, pans and other containers to make music. We are proud of our humble beginnings and our progress!
Tinidad All Stars is one of the oldest steel bands in existence.
All Stars Pans sounds so sweet compared to other bands. That was greatest tune they ever played.

Trinidad and Tobago carnival is the best in the world. The steelpan is one of the greatest musical inventions and where was it invented? In Trinidad and Tobago, along with calypso, soca, limbo and chutney.

Pan, Oh Pan. Wow. The dancing performances by the players makes this instrument even greater to watch. More love and spotlight on the bass players though. Bass players add the icing and the cherry to the sweet and amazing sounds of steelpan.
Can you ever believe that band should not be considered the with out a doubt the number one band in the great land of the republic of Trinidad & Tobago
As the Countervailing Covid 19, two years without the Panorama, forced the creative juices of the Steelband fraternity to merge some classical items and the Younger arrangers and conductors , extended their boundaries of creativity, the bands then delivered.....a taste for the ages..Ages... I remember Starlift, and the Beatles Bomb tune " Pennylane"....my memories of being in the band ,playing this "Bomb Tune".... came alive.
One of the things on my bucket list is to attend Panorama in sweet T&T.

This is super nostalgic for me...I remember me and my cousins in my granny's tiny Brooklyn apt and her always playing tapes (vhs) of band competitions while cooking...and that lovely smell of stew chicken for the pelau 😫 I miss those days
