I remember when I was a kid (maybe around 1990) my parents came home with one (it was pink) and pretended it was real. I was in disbelief that it could be real but I couldn't understand how it seemed to me moving on it's own. I kept saying, "It's not real, is it?" It was kind of creepy actually. lol Anyway I remember calling it Squirmy. I see some pictures on the web where it says Squirmles on the package so maybe there was some confusion and we thought it said Squirmies. But we had them here in Canada too.

I did see finally see them at a pharmacy/convenience store near me. And yes, what caught my attention was the mini tv that showed what you could do with it. Ended up picking one up right away.
These things are insanely impressive if you can practice them properly. I remember them being marketted as "Wiglees" and sold in cheap novlety shops in loads of seaside towns in the UK in the late 80s, with TV displays showing a repeated VHS loop shouting "Look out! i used to have hours of fun with this i had the same issue with string always got my mum to do it and the number of views 123 thousand thats most i've seen so far of yours i dont get how some of your videos have less than a thousand views and this one as way more i guess the simplest things attract more views
Yeah TH-cam is weird, some vids takeoff and some don't, weirdly the ones I put loads of effort in don't do so well and the ones I do quickly do good ha ha, weird
i have 50 of them, i saw them at a local thrift shop for 1 dollar so i got every one of them and every color of them, now i fill my hoodie with them and bring them to the class to prank my friends that i have 50 fluffy worm pets!
