watching season 1 i was always like "man he just needs to stand up for himself one day" its so satisfying to see kara actually getting pissed off for real lol
I think my favorite part is the fact that Karamatsu was legit so pissed that it got to a point were both Osomatsu and Todomatsu *apologize* and try to calm him down.
Ironically, they were the ones who mostly knew about this side of him and that It was just a matter of time before it came out to everyone. Like, Karamatsu didn't really tried being kind to Osomatsu most of the times, and Totty is the one who happened to be uncovering this "selfish" side of him as they fought over a crush. So anyway, I call him "I'm cute and gentle and everything,but you don't want to be my enemy"matsu.

I don't know if anyone noticed, but I mean Karamatsu was called "exclusimatsu" because he didn't want to give his opinion about the pizza, to annoy him (like Choromatsu when it's called punhematsu) they called him that. And apparently it worked, so much so that he says he wasn't enjoying the conversation and wanted to get out of there. But I don't think this applies to Kara as he gives his opinion and speaks his mind throughout the episodes. Anyway, failure in the matrix
"Doesn't apply"?? What failure in the matrix lol, not sure how you misinterpret a skit so cleanly directed and consistent with Karamatsu's character. The whole thing was about him purposely keeping himself out of the conversation, from the very beginning. He was hearing the whole thing while pretending to read, thinking about how worthless it all was, hearing them get mad at each other over nothing. That's the part that ticked him off the most at first－that they were getting mean-spirited over it. Over pizza. (Though, I should point out, it seems none of the others were really taking any of the discussion to heart despite all the roasting.) When Karamatsu cares, he'll give his honest, unadorned opinion. He'll get involved enough to act, even, especially when no one else will. But he thought the pizza situation was dumb and pointless, so he was irritated by the fact the others made such a fuss over it and then when they made it sound like he was in the wrong for playing along as a means to escaping their bullshit, reducing what he saw as rightful annoyance to a mocking nickname that, on top of everything, denied his kindness－or, in other words, all the hard work he puts into upholding an image he can be proud of (that of a man that is kind towards everyone). Of course, at the end he's over it and being dumb with everyone else because that's just the way it always ends with those six... (They really know how to make you feel that... unbreakable circle that nobody else can enter, that connection that made outsiders uncomfortable in their first years of high school.) Sorry for the long message but at this point I'm just doing it for myself 😂 sigh... What a show.
@@raccoonchild I basically agree with you, but I don't think he was kind to them because of the image. That is, if they meant that it was because of the image, then why would they be surprised and then calm him down and apologize to him (taking into account the fact that Todomatsu and Osomatsu do this). That is, he simply did not want to throw out his discontent on them and preferred to say what would suit everyone. In other words, they are shocked that the usually kind and calm brother suddenly snaps and gets angry at them.

From being totally ignored and pummeled from Season 1 into all attention on Karamatsu of Season 3. Still, the first 2 seasons are more superior than season 3.
Dang, I stopped watching Osomatsu a few episodes into season 3 when it released because it stopped being funny for me. I missed out on cool scenes like this
Lolike season three is just meta, try-hard "funniness", and not the usual laid back random funniness they do. I feel like they were trying to hard to replicate the "old" humor the show used to have, and ended up with... Well, this.
