      Maybe, depends on the degree and the committee. For a BSc maybe. For a PhD? probably not. Making original projects is always the better idea.

    Is it true you require alot of data for data science is there a case where a algorithm can work with a limited data set

      Yeah definitely. Especially simpler models and Bayesian models are often great for smaller datasets
