    I think you need to get an X-ray on your knee. You may have a torn meniscus or something like that.

    🇯🇲 BigSuper❤, mi disagree wid yuh ah yuh bredren walking wid yuh dis mawnin bout cleaning the gutters. The citizens pay taxes and part of that taxes is to pickup garbage, supply water, maintenance of di roads including clearing the gutters, schools to educate the nation, and police for security. ...I feel it's about time Jamaicans in these parts of Jamaica demand sidewalks because from what I see the government doesn't care about the safety of the people when it build roads in 2024, but doesn't provide a path for foot traffic.🇯🇲

      I am going to disagree with you a little bit. Yes citizens pay taxes so they can get all the services(and more) that you mentioned. But at the same time the government cannot do everything. Remember the government has to take care of the entire island.
      Gone are the days when communities would get together and do a day’s work to fix some of their problems.
      Also, sidewalks are usually found in towns and cities, not rural districts. It would be nice if government could do everything, but realistically it’s not going to happen.

      @@johncbny 🇯🇲Well, we are going to haffi agree to disagree on this one. Realistically it's unheard of in any community that I know of that the residence come together to do road work -when they can barely have time or strength for their own families much less ah guh wok ah road for free. (However, I do see them come together to block road😡). This is why you elect councillors/MP to bring attention to the needs of the community. If you continue to encourage the community to do these gutter cleaning then the government will stop because you let them off easy. Also the residence of that community don't have the proper tools to do the job. What will happen when someone gets injured while doing this free unsolicited labour....
      Now, regarding the sidewalks: I am from the hills of Clarendon. When I was growing up there, we did not have roads, we had bush foot path to and from the community and donkey and mule as our transportation.🐴 Yes, no sidewalks were necessary. Why? We didn't have to dodge cars, big 🚛 trucks, etc. But now if you go to that community today, roads have been built - but no sidewalks for foot traffic. You now need sidewalks because the conditions have changed whereby it's dangerous to walk innah di road. I can see that building no sidewalk is the norm all across these communities - but it's full time to see the big picture, it's hanging in front of our faces.🇯🇲

    Government to fix it we pay them so why we are paying them for that why them to go

    • @johncbny
      @johncbny 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      So citizens have no responsibility? How about people stop throwing trash in the drains? Or clean the bushes that cover the sidewalks in front of their property? Simple little things like that!

    The prime Minister should get all the young boys and put them in the 14 parishes and pay them some money to farm up the place. Ever since they are adopting the American culture on the way of talking and acting, and the fact that America invented social media smartphone everyone stayed away from farming. When you turn a country into Americans they won't farm.
