A new entry is all set to be introduced on the show, Yeh Hai Chahatein, which features Sargun Kaur Luthra and Abrar Qazi as the lead couple. The makers have roped in Ankur Verma for a pivotal part in the daily soap. He will be paired opposite Tanu Khan, who portrays the character of Mishka Khurana. Ankur’s character is named Param. Talking about it, he says, “The character is positive and quite interesting. I am glad that after playing a positive-turned-negative guy in Naagin, I am getting to explore a contrasting shade in the new show. I don’t bother about the shade as long as the character is powerful and substantial.” He adds, “Even though I am joining an ongoing show, it doesn’t feel like I have entered midway. The cast and crew have been so hospitable and warm. I can’t thank the unit and my co-actors enough for making me feel at home right from day one. It has helped me in focusing on my performance and not feeling out of place.” After featuring in Naagin 4, Ankur moved away from the small screen to explore the OTT space. But he says that he will never quit any medium. “The pandemic has taught us that life is unpredictable and so is our work. My aim is to take up good work irrespective of the medium. I don’t want to wait for too long or restrict myself to any platform. All I want to do is work constantly. I feel blessed to be getting opportunities at a time when many actors have complained of being out of work,” he concludes.
