Damn your Mewtwo is clean af. It's been a hot minute since I played him but here are A few things you might have missed:
1. Down smash has a huge downward hotbox, great for 2/4 framing.
2. You can read in which direction nair sends for combo extensions (dtilt,grab). Plus I Think 1. Hit landing nair into upsmash is true.
3. Yes, downthrow fair isn't true but it's a great mixup or potential combo starter. Low risk high reward (see 5)
4. Airborne confusion double jump fair is a great kill confirm if I remember correctly. Great if they shield often.
5. Disable is perfect for tech scenarios adding another option for downthrow.

So winning with the 3-day Mewtwo is great and all BUT that Day 2 punish on Sephiroth was freakin insane! I’ve never seen Sephy get punished so hard, that punish would make me give up on Sephiroth immediately lmao. 8:48 and on 🤦🏻♂️

Lucario main here, with some thoughts.
Today, I just got my fourth character, Mewtwo, into Elite Smash, and after comparing it to my main I noticed something interesting.
Mewtwo and Lucario seem relatively similar in design, both being charge-shot pokemon with explosions for smash attacks and busted aerials,
but they have a fundamental difference: Versatility versus Volatility.
Lucario is very versatile: with average speed, frame data, & weight, 2 projectiles and a counter, it fares very well in almost any matchup.
Mewtwo is very volatile, meaning high highs & low lows: with superb throws and a command grab to keep you out of shield, both strong or wide aerials to keep you from jumping, and a powerful projectile, Mewtwo can be very oppresive in advantage.
But in disadvantage, a slow double-jump, lackluster frame data and that pesky TAIL means that Mewtwo can often just be mashed on by faster characters.

Mewtwo main here, that was sick to see how quickly you implemented some of the specific stuff like DJ uair/bair tricks, b-reverse/walljump shenaningans, disable tech chasing... The guy didn't completely lied to you about dthrow fair, it can be true on bad DI which happens surprisingly often and it kills ridiculously early at the ledge.
They made teleport cancels very precise in this game unfortunately so most Mewtwos don't really use it that much anymore. I can't do the footstool stuff for the life of me (that also seems way harder than in 4, I was the biggest nair-dragdown-FS disable spammer back then) but disable is probably the best FS confirm in the game and can be true after a small shadowball.
Really liked the gameplay and seeing a great player just pick up the character and do whatever he wants, because sometimes I think I tunnel vision into the same gameplan/options too much (because I feel limited by the big hurtbox/lack of good approach & oos options/shadow ball being so good) so it's interesting to see a fresh style.
And of course very impressed by the run especially since you had to play some of our worst matchups, Falco especially feels very unfair (the switch to Banjo was a big mistake) and Palu is also usually considered one of our worst, and Ken while not as bad is very stressful and unforgiving. Great stuff

That was a great video, and your Day 3 Mewtwo looked really good even in tournament. Please do continue the series for other characters. I'd love to see you learn Kirby since he's got a good combo game, a limitless supply of inhale setups so he can always get the copy ability if you can get in on your opponent, and a lot of shenanigans with said ability. The challenge is getting in, so it'd be great to see how you approach that.

For your future M2 gameplay... Downsmash at the ledge can be busted, disjointed asf and super free if you hit it. Also, downthrow fair is pretty much never true, but it can be a huge mixup and if they arent ready to DI the downthrow they can die early just from you getting a grab. GGs though good run!

Am I just a very lucky person who doesn't get hit on the tail as Mewtwo often??? I swear whenever I watch Mewtwo gameplay I see tail hurtbox moments way more than I do when I personally play Mewtwo, and it's not like I don't play Mewtwo often, in fact Mewtwo is one of my most played characters in friendlies (I even once considered choosing Mewtwo as my main)

I would suggest using a bit more dthrow. It's less damage, but it sets up platform tech chases really well or a fair if they don't DI out. Also use teleports from the ledge occasionally to mix up.
I just love watching you play Hero. Not a ton of Hero gameplay on youtube and I always want more lol
