My buddy has a kapstan and I love how it has a clicker. I have the 300 curado k and it’s my favorite reel ever just doesn’t have a clicker sadly for when I catfish with it. But they both have all the power you need definitely

I usually wear hip waders when I'm fishing at my parents because you never know...usually I actually have rod holders mad of fence posts that I can walk out a ways and cast because the river is pretty low.

I caught a couple decent largemouth today, but I feel like there is potential I am missing for some reason. Doesn't help I got held down by gunfire for over an hour. Someone was doing some target practice and were not a good aim. I had leaves falling on my head while hunkered down behind a burm!😂

If you want some better rod holders check out some bank sticks for carp fishing, you get 2 and a lot of the grips lock your rod in so it sits flat and won't go anywhere
We made some homemade ones out of fence posts with a nut welded on the top of them. We use old boat rod holders on top of them and bring a hammer down to the river to drive them into the sand. That rod holder isn't moving if it's three feet into the sandstone.
I catfish maybe a mile from where I live and ride my bicycle there so never bring a net so I'm used to it by.now. there is no gradual bank to fish from somthr catfish are free swimming in five feet of water when grabbed

The silver bait casters look like Shimano Trans reels. I use one for musky fishing forget the # on it.. I think it's a 4000 series the biggest I could find in left handed with single paddle handle.

I’ve used 200 kastking and it’s been really good. Also tried some 60 dollar kastking and it was absolute trash. Great vid like always.

Shimano Tranx 401hg left handed reel. The 400.series reel is right handed. Luckily my fishing rods are three feet away from my head right now.
