@@NORTHWEST4X4ADVENTURES I got laughed at it at offroad meetings but is has a brilliant traction control and low range gerabox. Ok its not a Defender or Disco but it amazed me how far i got.
Dave did very well in the Grand Vitara considering pig lane is pretty heavy going in 4wds with far more ground clearance. Was good to tag along with him . 👍
The Grand Vitara did well, I've got a V6 version they are compact, light weight and nearly unstoppable. Their biggest weakness is the ground clearance, if you can lift them higher will be perfect.
Yeah totally agree I actually think 🤔 it’s a brilliant 4x4 for green lanes and for the money to. Dave he lifted his 2inch but he’s only got 29s on at the moment but he is planning to go to 30s soon

Fair play lads, looks like a cracking day! Some good driving and spotting there... I like the way you all stop to try and get everyone through as damage free as possible, I know the trucks are built for battle but still nice to see a bit of care and attention taken vs just flooring it and ripping bits off the truck and smashing panels in! Well impressed with the little grand vitara, surprised how capable it is! Would be great to catch up with you lot at some point, I'm just outside Wrexham but I don't do the whole FB/Insta thing so I'm out the loop for getting out to meet people

Yeah definitely a good question 🙋 So because of the track being a dead end and it has the potential to damage vehicle (not just ours) we try to re build the track so it’s fix for a good amount of time. We would use the boards if there wasn’t another option Also they can get clogged with mug and become a nightmare to clean lol 😂 I have mine not only for the using off road but also when at camp to level the vehicle off
@@NORTHWEST4X4ADVENTURES you make a very good point with regards to repairing the track rather than just getting yourselves through with boards, i never even thought about that. yeah the boards are a nightmare to clean after heavy mud tracks, although ive not used mine or the disco1 for 2-3years now. i need to get back into it.
@@shaunos4x4adventures52 looks like glass have removed some of the information off TW2 just been on there now planning our next trip there for next year. Have fun and stay safe mate it is good lanes but could get the most experience people in trouble but it’s not difficult in any way
@@shaunos4x4adventures52 No you can only enter at the east side of the track when you get to the middle you will when to turn round and head back the way you come This can sometimes fell dorting with thinking shit I got to hack track though all that
Did the D2 have other problems? It looks to have struggled in a few places, especially when it got cross axled. Was the Traction Control working and does that one have the CDL?
It was TC only that D2 but did well. The lad is fairly new to the hard off road so was riding the clutch till we noticed If you stay tuned I will be taking my D2 there soon with TC and diff lock if you looking at how go they are Find the D2 TC to be really good in the Auto so maybe it was due to him riding the clutch and with mine having the CDL it surprises me how good they are together
@NORTH WEST 4X4 OFF ROAD GROUP I was going to say that I doubt mine (Auto with TCS and CDL) would have struggled there. Some dismiss the traction control but it's better than the limited slip diff in the back of my Nissan Terrano!
@@clivereid I can’t wait to see how the D2 does on the hard stuff. Hardiest stuff it with me at the moment been in Portugal 🇵🇹 on part 3 going up the hill with washout and steep
@NORTH WEST 4X4 OFF ROAD GROUP I can't wait to take my D2 to Portugal. I've got to fix a starting issue first though (air getting into the fuel system, changed just about everything apart from the fuel tank itself and the cylinder head so far)!
@@clivereid we had a starting issue on the work van (I know there not the same) but we had a leak on the tank itself and was geting air in I put down to the crack in the tank It was resolved with an electric fuel pump it’s a bit of a bush fix but it works if it was my D2 I be looking to fix it properly like lol 😂 maybe try henshall engineer if there close to you he’s a hood lad I am sure he find a good solution to it

Just South of betw y coed. It is dead end you will find it on TW2 as it’s the only one just south of betw And yeah gets everywhere that thing with some spotting though some harder sections
I had a Grand vitara 2400 petrol for 5 years, 100000 km and was amazed what it could do off-road. Great 4x4's.
There a brilliant little vehicle half thinking be good for a spear vehicle foe when the disco not up for it lol 😂

East mate when you get to the middle it’s impassable after that
