After watching your videos of the sendero HD, I've put up an order for it and coming in soon. Can't wait to put it into test. My redcat gen8 V2 is sitting duck on the shelf, needs to put that thing to work while waiting. Great video as always with tips and very honest reviews 👍🏾. Cheers mate, and happy new year.
Glad it was helpful :) Be aware that the Element Ecto may be a better crawler (a video about that drops in early April - Sendero vs Ecto on a couple of comp courses), but I still like the Sendero HD as an all round trail truck. Cheers
I keep finding good quality videos of yours. Were you just running the stock gears in the transmission? Or did you change the percentage of overdrive? I do a lot of trail. So I’m gonna leave it how it came for now.
For a lot of trail, yes, I'd leave it at 5.7%. That's what it was at in this video. I've since changed it for the 11% gear but I use my Sendero mainly for crawling - it's amazing at that!
Awesome stuff! as if you had read my mind as I commented yesterday, I started looking at many of your vids and I find we seem to appreciate similar qualities in these rigs. If you can take some advice for the cheaper end of the scale, give the MN86KS (kit form, of course) a shot. Also, what are your plans for the next rig to put up against the Enduro or the C2 rig? Thanks for the great content and hoping for more vids soon!
Hey, thanks for the encouragement and ideas. Re the MN86KS, interesting. I'm looking at it now. It's a definite maybe. As far as next filming, I've just finished a capra build, that'll hit the rocks soon. Today it's raining and I'm assembling a wet rock challenge for the Sendero, TRX4 Sport and the Gen 8 V2 with its 21T motor, which transformed it as shown in the earlier upgrade video. None of these three have seen the wet rock course yet, at least in current form. Also looking at a stock tire comparison and a budget-limited performance challenge (say, the trx4 sport kit cost $x with custom electronics - what if we spent the same money on the others to get roughly the same total spend? How would they compare then?) Plenty coming up! All takes quite a lot of time so I'm just gonna keep at it and we'll see where we end up! Cheers :)
@@RCTNT this is terrific. Great ideas of what most of us are interested in, yet very few, if at all until you came along took this path. Thanks for this. At this point I'm just binge-watching through all of your videos... If you decide to go ahead with the MN86KS, go with the KS as it has bearings instead of bushings, a better motor, two pinion gear options, and some more protection for the hard body in the shape of accesories, such as the roof rack and bumpers, that you can ultimately install or not. Speaking of the body, the black, white (these two are the non-KS versions, anyway) and the fluorescent yellow are plastic mold "paint", yet the darker silver one is painted. As for other very recommended accesories, first of all, I would have to say get the (original from MN) metal rims, that are not Alu, but definitely metal, and really put some weight down low, with the also optional foams. This combo make the tires sink a bit, and work very good for the price point... they're actually a bit too soft and are wearing quickly (happy I ordered a spare set). For the ESC, a Hobbywing 1060 is just perfectly matched. As far as making it perform, not much more, other than getting a set of the MN metal drive shafts, as the plastic ones are fine for trailing but lasted me 30min of "crawling". Lastly, greasing the inside of the friction shocks. I haven't really seen the need for actual shocks for now, but it's mostly a capable trail truck for me. In this regard, I just added MN's light kit, and called it. You can have a look at it running in my channel. Sorry for the long post, in any case and thanks again for your comprehensive answer! This channel really deserves to take off 👍🏽
@@YoShImUrA53 lol, I feel like I've just been through a review of this rig now! I could use your words as copy on the review video and it'd be adequate, heh! (of course I wouldn't do that, but you sure gave some quality info here - very much appreciated!) You know how to encourage a guy, too. Thanks for that, was gratifying to read! So glad you're enjoying it. I'll improve - am new to video making and there's a heap to learn, but this is a fun and info-rich topic that I'm excited to cover, so that makes it all fun. So, catch you in the next one! Cheers

I just got one. So cool.
Awesome! Great rigs, they are. Mine's used to test different wheels and tires here, hasn't missed a beat. Brilliant little performer. Enjoy!
