- Hey everyone, I thought I would upload this so that it would be easier for some people to fight Jevil.
There may be an error or two in the guide since at the last moment some text changes got unintentionally deleted. I will be posting when I find what went wrong.

tip for health: pick darkburguers and the topcake. (the topcake its 160 hp, but spincake its 80 hp)
The Spincake is reusable, but the Topcake is able to only be used once per save file. Keep that in mind.
well Jevil is probably the only fight you'll actually need it for, as Ralsei's heal should be more than enough for all other enemies
Where can you find the "top cake"?
@@nootnootd9713 Go to the Field and go back until you find a broken cake. Interact with the cake and that a piece. Go to the bake sale, go up and use "Fix Item", he'll fix the cake and give you "Top Cake". It heals 160 hp to everyone in your team. Basically, a "reset" to use in the middle of a fight.

yea they are the hardsest at the start but after like 15 tries they will be alot easier.
you will get hit by them 1 or twice but they do pretty small d next to the other attacks
the one that is the hardest for me is the devil knife

@@urbanfrog devil is easy. just need to circle around the box with rhythm to the devilsknife and when the big one appears, just change directions quick. the ringaround is the easiest. just need to stay in the gap between two spades and done. the carousel is hard. i found the first horse carousel hard but the second one was easy. just need to hide below the last carousel and move right and come back every 2 seconds. the first one is tricky. it has no strategies. its just follow the horses.

I think you should’ve probably had items like dark burgers and a top cake. The dark burgers could be bought in the cat’s shop and the top cake can be found at the broken cake. Even though you survived, these items are pretty good for emergencies (d burgers give 70 hp and top cake fully heals all of the team’s hp). Great video though :)

Top cake is good but you only seem to get one period.
You can also give it back to to the baker to get a spin cake every chapter.

Your advice helped a lot. Thank you! One thing you didn’t mention though is when you can’t use hypnosis (perhaps an ally has been KO’d or you don’t have enough tp), you should use pirouette if you can. It doesn’t tire Jevil out quite as much and could possibly give him some buffs, but it’s better than nothing. Also even if you don’t think you’re doing so well, keep going. Don’t give up so easily. I kept having team members be KO’d but I still managed to beat him.
I finally got a laptop last week and I downloaded this game it took me a total of 3 days to beat him. This video really helped but the funniest thing is that my sister turned on the song stayin' alive and that was the level I won ;-;

Tips for all attacks:
First attack (Small spades):
Fairly simple, you want to move around a lot but be aware of your surroundings. Use it to grind for TP.
Second Attack (Ring Around):
First, get near the middle. Then, check what direction they're all going in. Remember to stay close to the middle as you'll be able to move around the spades quicker if you do that. Great for getting TP.
Third Attack (Hearts out to all sinners):
There's not much strategy here, just lookout, and try going up and down (not too quickly though). If you get good at this, try going inside the heart square for good amounts of tp.
Fourth attack (Metamorphosis v1):
Stay along the perimeter of the square. Don't get too close (unless you're really good dodging the attack, in which case you can grind for tp)
Fifth attack (Merry-go-round v1):
Just follow what he said in the video. There's not much to this attack.
Sixth attack (Large Clubs):
These go quickly and are very large (also quite dangerous. You want to see where the club squares spawned and maybe move around them, knowing where the clubs will hit.
Seventh attack (Diamond Cutters):
This is a really simple attack. You should just focus on when the diamonds form from below and wait for a second for them to hit. You already know their speed (and where they're coming from), so it's really just easy.
The eighth attack is just the same as the second attack (ring around).
Ninth attack (Merry-go-round v2):
This one is difficult to dodge. Stay in the corner, and try to predict where the next ones will hit, and according to that, go up and down.
Tenth attack (Large Spades):
This is similar to the large clubs, although cover a larger perimeter. Try the same advice from the sixth attack.
Eleventh attack (Chaos Bomb):
Combine your knowledge from the large clubs, small spades, large spades, and hearts out to all sinners.
They're all coming at once. Use the diamonds to grind for TP.
Twelfth attack (Metamorphosis v2):
Do the same thing as v1, but stay closer to the middle of the perimeter to avoid getting hit by the red devilsknives. If you're ambitious, stay along the perimeter but go up and down in quick succession.
Thirteenth attack (Surprise diamonds):
This one is simple. Either go along an 8-shaped path within the square or just be good at dodging.
The attacks are repeating after this.
Final Chaos Attack:
Remember where the devilsknives fell. It's fairly easy to dodge if you have a good memory. Also, incorporate what you learned from the diamond cutters attack from before.

Neat guide, and I like how you describe each attack! I made my own guide which is more skill-heavy (it has lots of grazes), so I was wondering what extra info a different one could have to offer. (Just as a side note, did you know that you can Pacify the boss before they use Chaos Bomb?)
As for the text, I notice the size and positioning changes a lot. You can use TH-cam's subtitle system to make some really quick subtitles (consistent size and can easily change when they stay onscreen), and that's what I did for my guide. I wish you good luck on future guides/videos!

A YEAR AGO I BEAT JEVIL THANKS TO THIS VIDEO! i recently got a new device to play Deltarune on and wanted to beat him again.. unfortunately i forgot everything i learned so i have returned. the carousel tip is so helpful, focus on the horse's bodies and stick to the wall, this tip carried me. also the circling spades one still kind of confuses me but I'll get it eventually

i know its an old video but if you keep doing pirouette and hypnosis while also taking a small amount of damage or none at all you can make jevil tired right before his "final" attack (big devilsknife) and pacify him right there.

Here's some more tips:
1. Use pirouette if you cannot use hypnosis
2. For ring around, stay at the center and get close as possible to the bullets.
3. Graze as much as possible!

I tried 3 times before this guide trying the genocide route but died. My best was the one where jevil shoots out the diamonds. I followed this guide and barely got it on my first try of pacifist. Thank you so much for this.

Jevil was the only fight in this game I didn’t get made about dying and actually had fun with because I learned new ways to survive every time. I do wish ralsei was less of a bitch and stopped dying so easily though. Like his powers are super helpful but he’s just so fucking weak and everyone targets him and it makes me want to strangle him even though he’s ones of my favorite characters.

Funny thing, Jevil was absolute hell for me when I was new, took me like, 3 hours nonstop, yet Spamton NEO took way less. Now, I have the opposite problem. Jevil’s way too easy, and Spamton NEO actually gives me a challenge (Althougn I can still easily beat him).

You need to cast Hypnosis about nine times I think. Each pirouette is worth half a Hypnosis.

tips : you can try to move only vertically to dodge the chaos clubs bombs, thats what i did and it became easier

I' playing the game one the computer and, at least to me, it seems to be easier to to fight him with a controller.
1:00 you can just stay at the edges between two spades and you won’t get hit.

In hearts attack I try to stay up as long as possible because hearts usually attack you from bottom
At 0:58 we can go to the top right and we can dodge everything (except for one time but it's easy to dodge)

I don't know why, but I can never circle around the circle of spades, I usually just stay at the bottom of the board and occasionally get hit instead of _always_ getting hit.

I beat this in three attempts, first two I tried using the pirouette ACT, but since it could make the team worse or Jevil stronger, I decided that on attempt three that I should spam hypnosis.
A tip I would recommend is to stock up on dark burgers/revive mints to save TP, you might also have to throw the manual away if it takes up too much space (I'm sorry Ralsei). Also make sure you have either the top cake or the spin cake. I was very close to dying after the final chaos attack, I don't know how, but I survived that (Maybe I'm good at bullet hells?).

I know this video is old but you can do the ring around move no hit by just standing inbetwen 2 spades while touching the wall and they wont be able to hit you

Hey guys, I'm a lot late to the Deltarune party, but how do you get your soul to move faster? I wanted to beat Jevil before I got to Lancer's dad, but my soul is nowhere near close to as fast as the soul in the vid. Are there special items to increase speed? If so, where do I find them? Can I fight Jevil after beating Lancer's dad??

Don’t know if I should be proud of my self because I survived until final chaos, or disappointed because that was the last attack, kris was on 2 hp, and everyone was down, and nobody had any items so it couldn’t be helped.
