Would have liked to watch how much you moved the lever to adjust.mine goes forward when in reverse 1 all forward are fine just no 1 reverse. 2 reverse is like your 1 reverse
I'm seeing a cable. If you look at your traction drive lever, follow the brass colored piece attached to the cable. There will be a small lockout and threaded portion where you can loosen the lockout and adjust the cable length looser or tighter.

Im not a fan it is too easy to bump the linkage and bend it especially in transport ask me how I know
