Lily: So I'm not gonna cook out the alcohol and add a shitload of cream.
They make constant digs at each other about their choices in the competition, as soon as I heard Josh say that I'm like "One of the other chefs is DEFINITELY breaking those rules."
And it was the judge's favorite dish lmao
I loveeeeeeee seeing Lily metaphorically and literally blooming before us. I remember when she was new and shy and now she's singing lobster in the risotto jams.

Her growth between those first few episodes where it was obvious she didn't know what she had signed up for; and now . . . Lily rocks; like the lobster. (you may be old like me, if you get the reference)

I was thinking exactly that. She was SO shy at the beginning but she's just really gotten so comfortable and weird in front of the camera and I love it.
I know Mythical Kitchen encourages playing with your food but Lily's story about her family racing lobsters before eating them is on another level lol

Oh my gosh. I can’t think of many guests I didn’t know I wanted on this show more than Ify. He’s just as ridiculous as Josh, but larger and more… spicy, lol. Looking forward to this episode!
Yep. It was good, but now I need to see Ify on Last Meals so he can spend more time being himself and less time picking the “wrong” plate, lol.

A Rammstein show with Ify and Josh. That's a bucket list level thing. Seeing Rammstein alone is a dream of mine. The moment I saw Ify on the thumbnail I had to watch.
I've been a fan of Rammstein since 95' and I can say without equivocation that seeing Rammstein live is a transcendent experience. I saw them in Quebec City 2012 but I'll say it makes all other concert experiences muted and obsolete!

Josh's risotto plate looks like something straight out of a Death Stranding boss fight. And I'm here for it. I also thoroughly enjoyed the Down With the Sickness style build up with Ify 😂 Lastly, Lily is a raised New Englander?! 🤯❤
6:29 topping it with Bonito flakes would add to that hellscape you mentioned. the moving flakes with the tentacles would give people shivers.
From Dropout to Smosh to Mythical Kitchen I can't seem to escape Ify but I'm not upset about that.
In my experience, the one place that amateur cooks can consistently beat pros is in ethnic dishes of their own ethnicity. If you don't grow up eating a food you're unlikely to get it exactly right. This is definitely the case for Italian food.

Jordan is literally my favorite person when she’s on any of the gmm shows. Her sarcasm and quick retorts are perfect and her facial expressions are like if my inner voice had a face.
Need more Ify! Could listen to his voice all day! He has great on screen chemistry with the cast!
NGL, I clicked this because I saw the thumbnail and went "is that Ify?" He's one of those people that bounces from channel to channel and it's always good whenever and wherever he shows up.

Why did Josh say no one adds dairy to risoto? As far as I know, Italians adds permasen or pecorino to risoto at the end to finish the dish.
Some chefs add heavy cream or dairy to make risottos seem creamy even if they are cooked incorrectly. He worded it poorly, but that is what he was referring to.
That being said, I think it was said somewhat ironically to make fun of one of the other dishes, as you'll see later :)

working at a actual restaurant sounds really rough, it was a thing for me realizing i wanted to be a cook not a chef i couldn't handle that sort of environment and ir wasn't necessarily what i wanted out of it either. working at mythical kitchen though seems great and its great fun for us two happy for you guys making it there :).
