Triads Guitar Lesson - A PRO Approach To Basic Chord Progressions

- เผยแพร่เมื่อ 8 ก.พ. 2025
- In this lesson, I’ll break down how to transform a simple I-IV-V progression using triads. You'll hear pros like Tom Bukovac, Jack Ruch, Brett Papa, and Ariel Posen talk about triads often as this is where the juicy stuff comes from on the guitar. It is literally the foundation you need to level up your playing, with plenty more to explore as you continue to grow. This is stuff that you want to have under your fingers in an instant and I've suggested ways in which you could take this further.
So this is how 2025 is going to be on my TH-cam channel. Higher production videos but not daily video anymore. At least for now. My plan is a video in the weekend, one during the week and a livestream on Sundays. In amongst it all I'll put out shorts as I quite like doing them (and watching them). If you have any feedback do let me know?
Any questions or comments leave them below?

Great lesson Nick, thank you ! 👍👍👍
@@hughle2579 cheers man! Let me know if you have any questions about it?
New look is great.
Job is kicking my ass.
Probably beginner-intermediate lessons will get the most hits. 🍻
@@HarryK-HK thanks! Yeah I’ve tried to steer away from beginner stuff, as so many others already do that. I figure my knowledge is better suited to helping intermediate / advanced players even if it means less views (which isn’t what I do things for). But I’ll consider it, as I’m mixing things up this year. Cheers
Tena Koe Nick, thanks for that - yeah I remember working these triads out and then promptly forgetting most of it - nice to have the refresher
Cheers, it's amazing how quickly things can slip from memory. But the good news is it’s quick to get back! Thanks for watching!
Excellent lesson again Nick. Thanks from Titirangi. 🙏🏼
@@timharding7381 cheers Tim!
Very cool, nice voicings there to soak up! The new studio look is great to, freshen things up every now and then is good.
@@bignoiseamplification6370 thanks! Just getting started in the new revamp. Cheers
Good ideas to work on and the new studio looks great.
@@fenderbender3478 cheers
Great start to the new year Nick👍🎸.Lookin' forward to some great stuff to absorb...... hey you asked to be reminded about the single lines over Sir Duke you were playing just before you went O/S.....Also, is that sound direct into your computer?
@@ZalMoxis thanks! Yep, 3 cameras for video and I recorded the audio into my computer via logic direct with the fractal and a mic for my voice. Very little mixing needed. Takes way longer than it did when I did daily videos on my phone by the quality is better and I enjoyed making it more. Cheers
Ps I think I covered the lines in Sir Duke in a livestream. But do join me in 12 hours from now (10am NZT on Monday morning) and I’m happy to discuss any of it. Turn on notifications if you haven’t already so you don’t miss it. Cheers
Great lesson, NIck. Any chance you have tabs for these or can point to them. Trying to get your finger positions on a tablet is tricky.
@@peterwhybrow1541 thanks! I’m planning on setting up a patreon so maybe that’s the place to put transcriptions to accompany the videos (it’s extra work to transcribe). Cheers
