You do not gain points just for having your faction flag enabled which is stated at 4:20. You have to have earned points from PVP or capturing an outpost within the 15minute window to earn the faction defence bonus at the end of the 15 minutes. it's also shouldn't be called a defence bonus but an activity bonus.
if you kill boss you dont need to wait for circle you get points anyway&just like taking whole terrain you dont need to wait you can change map and you get points anyway

Fastest way to gain points? You mean rat with ox and escape build and steal points of players actually doing content? Forgot about that part.
So there are players doing the content? You'll always have rats... it's part of the games dynamic.
