It is good to see the younger generation still appreciate the people who made the world of music they know even possible. Zeppelin set the bar, and no one ever touched it again....
I was a kid when an uncle brought back a video of them he got from the States. That's when my guitar went from my chest (Elvis) to my knee and I developed tendinitis... THANKS PAGE!!!
I was lucky enough to see them at Knebworth 1979 yup I'm that old.....Headphones mate headphones....for the full effect :) Strange isn't it that after 50yrs people are still discovering Zep....here's to another 50yrs!
I was obsessed back in the 90s when i was growing up. I havent listened to them in so many years. Now, ive been listening to these reactions and am being blown away by songs i didnt prefer back then. What a crazy assembly of talent. God damn they are good
Your reaction was amazing! This is one of my favorite Zep's live performances and I'm so happy you reacted to this. Jimmy's playing here is divine and Bonzo's drumming is as perfect as always.. And you're absolutely right, they are truly a "gold standard". No one can come close to their level of musicianship and stage presence. Another live recommendations: How Many More Times, Baby I'm Gonna Leave You (live at Danmarks radio, 1969), I Can't Quit You Baby, Bring It On Home (live at Royal Albert Hall, 1970), Stairway to Heaven, Dazed and Confused, The Song Remains the Same+The Rain Song, The Ocean (live at MSG, 1973), Trampled Under Foot, Bron-Y Aur Stomp, Going to California (live at Earl's Court, 1975). Just take your pick, all of them are wonderful.
saw them twice, southampton gaumont in 73, 2,000 seat provincial theatre, and the last night at earls court, magical nights and times, when music was real...
Thanks for reacting. Saw them do this song live in 1975. One of my favorites and my parents least favorite songs. They got me headphones specifically for when I listened to Zeppelin.
I was going to school in VT. and caught them in '77 in Montreal. I remember my P's trying to push the Beach Boys on me but I think it was Black Sab that triggered them.
@@dianedavies8291 Wow, I couldn't imagine how much of excitement that would've been. I been to a lot of great concerts in my time, but that would be the cherry on top.
another great live Zeppelin song is "the Rain song" from live album "the song Remains the Same" my opinion one of Robert's greatest live performances, also Jimmy's incredible guitar work. very good comments of the songs.
Hey Mark, I'm so glad you are exploring in my opinion the greatest band ever. I have to give you props for expanding your music genres. That is one thing about Led Zeppelin. You really can't put them in one music mold. They did explore a lot sounds and textures from all over the world. I hope you keep going down that rabbit hole, and if you get a chance please react to Babe I'm Going to Leave You. That song just gives me the chills everytime.
The next song I'd suggest is How Many More Times in Royal Albert Hall, The studio is 6 mins long but they turn it into a 20 min masterpiece. I prefer most of their stuff live to their studio.
Rich Diana - one of the understated genius things about this band was Bonham’s ability to get on board with any member at any time. He didn’t just sit back and lay the beat with John Paul Jones like many percussionists would. He could play off Jones, Plant, and especially Page; it always melded into perfection. It was a ballsy move, and created some of the greatest grooves ever in rock.
The best band in the world! Watch all their live stuff...you will die! Notice the perfect timing!! Subscribed...love your commentary!! Yep...I was a teen in the 70s...I'm 59! I love Robert and Jimmy!! Please do The Song Remains The Same/ The Rain Song...it is live and absolute perfection!!
rock on brother ! was lucky enough to see them when i was 17. i wouldn't say 'up close'...it was madison square garden.,.,.but close enough ! you got that right though..Zep is a.HUGE rabbit hole. i think you should dive on in !!
Led Zeppelin was a professional & musically outstanding band both in the studio & live. Maybe we can all chip in for a long blonde haired wig for you.🤣 👍😎👍 reaction , One of my top 5 songs by them
The greatest band ever led zeppelin they are truly the masters of rock and roll no one can match they are truly the masters of rock and and masters of there instruments no one can match them i challenge anyone to find a better rock and roll band
Good reaction. I like your explanation of the effect that Led Zeppelin has on you. It happens to be quite accurate. I think that part of the appeal for you, coming from an R&B background, is that Robert Plant had a "soul" to his voice. Something that reached out to you and forced you to be engaged. Led Zeppelin, more than any other rock band, held incredibly wild sex parties and orgies with their groupies. They were kicked out of more hotels...tearing up the rooms and throwing furniture out the windows. They were very wild. Jimmy Page was very much into the occult and Aleister Crowley...in fact he bought Crowley's house. A few rock bands can do live shows that are even better than the studio. Some bands do live shows that are comparable more or less. Most bands are just not as good doing live shows. This is good, because Zeppelin is better than most live, but the studio track on this song is punchier, cleaner and more effective. The problem here is that there is A lot of distortion where the notes are muddled into one another. I hope you listen to the studio version even if you don't react to it. After all, it should be about the music and not just being able to watch the band on stage.
This is one of my favorites, just kinda gets u in a mood doesn’t it? They all kinda fit together like a well made puzzle don’t they. Each member knew their job and they fulfilled them extremely well. This band remains my number one with no close second. Thank you peace ✌️
if you want to hear a quality John Paul Jones outing, might i suggest "The Lemon Song" the bass playing is breathtaking, if you ask me. peace (from the UK)

You should react to Led Zeppelin live Royal Albert Hall 1970. This concert is AMAZING. I suggest you song "I Cant Quit you" live royal albert hall, the solo in this is fantastic
My first ever concert. 1977 Seattle. Led Zeppelin. No opening act. Just 3 plus hours of Led. Also saw Pink Floyd do The Wall in L.A. in 1980. The two best also.
Awesome reaction and spot on review! 🎯 🎯🎯 Everything you articulated is how I feel every time listening to Led Zep. Love watching you discover them - So much fun. I had never seen this video & they were SPOT ON again! 🔥💎🔥💎🔥💎🔥💎🔥💎 I regret being too young to go to concerts during LED’s hiatus but while growing up, was listening to them constantly and ran to the movie theater to watch THE SONG REMAINS THE SAME. ☄️💥🔥 They will forever move me with their wide array of legendary soulful tunes like no other rock band can. If I could experience being someone else for just one day - It would hands down be either Robert Plant or Jimmy Page during their peak years.... and I’m a female. 🌞
the music of Zeppelin is so timeless because it's Real. There's no computers/autotuners. Great review. That live version is my favorite. From Albert Hall in '75 I think. We saw them 2 or 3 times. The last was on Bonzo's birthday in '77. RP had 17k of us sing happy birthday. They played for 3 1/2 hours. It was mind blowing of course.
Apart from the blues and rock influences, which resonate thorough so many genres of music, Zepp must sound instantly familiar to a lot of the current generation because Zepp's tracks have been sampled by a lot of contemporary artists, even if it's just some of John Bonham's beats. Great song. I usually prefer watching Led Zeppelin live, over the studio version, just because they are such great all around performers, but I prefer the studio version for this song. I think it got a little muddy in the middle with Jimmy Page's shredding, but they pulled it together in the end. Just mho. This is still superior to almost all other music, then and now. Love them. ❤️❤️🎶🎧🎵🎼❤️❤️
Mark this is my first time seeing you react, nice job! Just a recommendation in the future react to the studio version first to truly get the vibe before checking out the live version (although this was a fantastic live performance). ☮️💟🎵

I’ve always said if you want words that’s what books are for. It’s about the music. Peace to all.
Yes, the 'Rabbit Hole'...what *you* have stepped into as well my friend. I have been a fan of zep for the last 25 or so years, lots to explore. Poke your head into some Pink Floyd when you get the time. I suggest full albums for maximum satisfaction.
July, 1977, Oakland, Ca... They played close to 3 hours, And I'll never forget it!!
It is good to see the younger generation still appreciate the people who made the world of music they know even possible. Zeppelin set the bar, and no one ever touched it again....
Even though I'm just getting into the rock genre I definitely agree. Thank you for taking the time to watch I greatly appreciate it...

The Rain Song at the garden you won't be sorry
Nobody reacts to The Rain Song, and it a a crying shame. The song is fuckin gorgeous.
