lifehackertips Well, If you want to show some class and drive something premium? Sure. For long-time ownership? Not sure. Hybrid battery’s are expensive and a pain to replace. But it’s nice instead of a used 2010 corolla.
@@WizardMower I’m considering getting a 2010 Lexus HS 250H with 77,000 miles, or a 2012 Toyota Corolla LE with 20,000 miles. With the battery consideration which would you choose/what’s your preference?
Fast forward to today 2018 and we only have a few “almost“ “self driving” cars, Tesla and Cadillac Super cruise. Benz , but it’s not yet affordable for the masses
I got this car recently. Love it. Idk why it gets so much hate, like I know gas mileage isn't the best for a hybrid. In my opinion though, it's a very nice looking car. I kinda dislike the new spindle style grills.
The Lexus HS deserves a reboot to compete with the Mercedes CLA An HS300h and HS F both are hybrids. The HS F would operate it's non-atkinson cycle 3.5L engine in range extender mode complemented with 2 of the 6 cylinders turned off to further enhance fuel economy and 35 miles of electric only range.
In case your thinking" well that's stupid, a car that drives itself takes the fun away from driving!" Realize that a car driving itself, would be good for someone who's to handicap to drive on there own. :o The more ya know.
I forgot just how controversial drive-by-wire was back in the day. Nobody thinks about it anymore, but back then so many people were afraid of the concept.
Luxury Hybrid Corolla. This compact car makes more sense in Japan as they prefer smaller cars there. $49,000!? Are you kidding me!? No wonder this car failed. It's overpriced! I actually love this car, except the price. I thought this car was just $30,000. But the Lexus HS 250h does have advance safety features that are also found on the S-Class. Not bad for a car from 2009.
This is the only Lexus that looks squishy and compressed. Any other Lexus car would have more extension. This car looks like it's a squished mid size car to me.
I was heavily leaning toward getting one, but being 6'4" with 38" inseam legs... I didn't really fit into it. I opted for a 2013 Kia Optima Hybrid as my commuter.
My god, I want one of these even though they're 10 years old!
RUIDoso56 OFFICIAL I have one for sale same color
Enhance Business Consulting Group LLC. Nice!
Are they still worth buying?

looks better than a prius and corolla. best Lexus Hybrid at the time.

From 48k to 6k in 2020
Heck of a depreciation and advance in technology

I loved the HS, but now we have the UX to replace the CT and HS.. in 2019. Now to find a great used HS!!!
I have one for sale.
This is a Lexus that doesn't feel as squishy and numb as a normal Lexus, it feels twitchy!

I have this car.. and I love it ..
how long have you been owning it? Has it ever had any problems?
Any problems with it? How many miles on it?
Finally the 2017, Highlander Hybrid has the LKA and Adaptive cruise with brake assist, standard. Just 7 years after this. Dang look at that hair!
One for sale down the road for 8,000 with 180k miles

This car looks like it's either a very compressed mid size car or a very chubby small car.
It's a really big spacious car.. I have this exact car
Nice car!
I like it!
it looks like the 2002 series camery. with just more tilt to the front.

So basically an upgraded Corolla...
No. This car is based on the Toyota Avensis.
What is wrong with that? Can't see a Mercedes, BMW or Infinity lasting 200-300k miles like this car probably will.
All that car self-control has gotten some drivers killed, I don't like it.
Love mine :)
that looks like a corolla
Nah. The MyFordTouch system is better. It's simpler and it does a lot more stuff than the Lexus system.
Looks like toyota sai
They both share platforms, so it makes sense.
Mho!
This car is so damn awesome but it’s a damn corolla 🤦🏻♂️
Actually no, it has the Camry Hybrid system.
It's not related to the Corolla at all. It's based on the third generation (2009-2018) Toyota Avensis/Toyota Sai.
What was this car's 0-60?
"Eventually"
I was heavily leaning toward getting one, but being 6'4" with 38" inseam legs... I didn't really fit into it.

You should've gotten a Lexus ES Hybrid.
Rob Heathers 8.4 seconds which is pretty good for a hybrid. I think this is a really nice car. I would love to have this.
3 minutes
It's a corolla.
Wrong. The platform is based off the Camry.
@lightsfansofthewest481 also wrong. It's based on the Toyota Avensis, which is smaller than the Camry but bigger than the Corolla.
