Another great vid mate, just one little observation, you should really be using heat resistant flex for cookers. I always keep some 4mm ho7 on the van which is usually ok for most cookers.
Why don't these dips give you hypothermia then? People drown at sea in much warmer temperatures from hypothermia. Is it due to length of time submerged?
@@nickhickson8738 they can if you're in there for too long. Anything under 5 degrees I do 3mins and over 5 degrees I do 5mins. It's also about controlling your breathing as if you're new to it and you jump straight in, it can literally put you into cold shock and you'll find yourself gasping for air as your body doesn't know what's happening. That's why a lot of the time people drown in cold water because as soon as they fall in their body is gasping and they end up swallowing loads of water and drowning unfortunately 🙁
Great video, been wstching for a while in the back ground.. mad hearing you started your gas journey at AO, and talking about it, its where I started mine (basildon branch).
@cputilitysolutions mad, I was there and year before and during covid.. when I knew I was leaving, I broke the record for the most amount of fails in a day, 9 out of 13 jobs 🤣🤣.. doing what your doing now and loving it, no fails haha
It always felt weird to me connecting a cooker with stiff cable, so just before I retired I started using Ho7 flex and it just felt so right. Talking about dangerous appliances though, I think the second most dangerous thing in our house is the chip pan. You can keep all your deep fat fryers and those annoying air fryers, you just can't beat a saucepan half full of oil boiling at 4 million degrees to cook perfect chips like my mother used to make. I think the most dangerous appliance in our house is the Missus. Great vid mate thanks.
Multiple tightness test I think is a good idea it could save a good amount of time as you can go straight to the last few joints or last joint if there's a leak good tip 👍🏾
Ha yes mate. I was doing it in the summer. It gets ALOT harder in the winter. Fair play to you. I need to get back to it. It will definitely liven you up first thing in the morning😂
Yeah man I started doing it in the summer to let my body get used to it, was breaking the ice a couple of weeks ago to get in and had the water down to 0.1 degrees! 🥶🥶🥶
On the Vaillant PCB's its the 2 470uf 35v Capacitors which cause f.61-f.62 faults. The f.27 fault is the 3 legged 400v 100uf cap. Usaully after the power has been off for servicing you get the dreaded F.27 or CON error. To get you out of trouble you can play a hair dryer on the capacitors to spring the boiler back to life. 😉
During a routine safety check I once capped off a very old soot stained flue leaking gas water heater fitted in an OAPs bungalow. Clearly it had been like this for a great number of years. I felt a really evil person to be taking away this old couples only means of hot water. Well over twenty five years ago now and yet it still plays on my mind.
You done the right thing overall, yes you may have caused them an inconvenience but at least you didn't risk their lives. It's like driving a car with 1 wheel nut missing on each wheel, yes it will still drive but would you?
Wickes wet vac all the way, I try to use it as much as possible, it speeds up most tasks, if there's water I'm a pipe I'm trying to solder etc, just suck it out😉
@ I assume you’re an expert on Baxi boilers and having watched your videos I thought you might have run into this issue. Maybe I could have added more info but I’m a lazy American. Keep up the great videos you seem to be one of the best.
Thank you! I've got the basic Lumi pod at the moment. Started off with cold showers a few years ago and been doing cold plunges since last summer. Was breaking the ice to get in a couple of weeks ago and the water was reading 0.1 degrees! 🥶
I've got that and spare Schraders, and the problem was the whole internal of the Schrader part disintegrated inside the vessel so I physically couldn't replace the schrader
I need to here more "bhenchod" lyrics when its not going your way in vids as u planned 😂 Im not a tech savvy, but do they do some sort of head camera, so when u r in tight spaces, it makes filming easy?
You young man do the most watchable, well filmed, informative boiler/gas related videos on you tube, seriously keep it up
It's feedback like this which keeps my channel going! Thank you! 🙏🏾
Young man 😂
Am 39 and I can't stand it when people say young man
It's condescending
Young man is what you say to a 18-20 something
@@robgraham1204 I take it as a compliment and I'm 36 😁
@robgraham1204 he is 71, so yes, you are both young men.....! 😂

Nice one thank you 👍🏾
💯 I and every gas safe engineer has been in a similar situation
You know it mate
Glad to be apart of the gang. I’m cool enough to be participating in the cold plunge groups!
Yes Jordan! 🥶🙌🏾

Thanks mate glad you enjoyed the vid 👌🏾 I'll check out that flex, I've not come across it or heard of it before

Nice one mate thanks for that info, very useful 👌🏾
I found in the past heat stress in that spot on pcb. Excess heat from pump poor circulation or pump failing
Ah gotcha 👌🏾
Do cooker have adjustable feet to level or have to use wood batterns.
They have adjustable feet 👍🏾
is the sauna/heated pool next door? is that why theres a ladder there;)

Did you buy the derblaue set and if so is it worth the cost
I got it sent out to me mate. It's definitely a handy bit of kit, but I do understand the price point can be an issue as it's not cheap

Why did you go 750mm above the floor? I know that is in the British standards but you should install as per manufacturer instructions?

Gotta solder a 28mm air separtor in 2moz! 🙄🤟
