Scenes like this are fhe reason Callum's my favourite character and why I consider him the protagonist of the show. Everyone else already had something going on since the start but Callum always felt like he was riding on coat tails until he found magic and absolutely owned it.
Definitely agree. Badass enough that was the only known human to connect to an arcanum. Now he's the only known person beside Aaravos to connect to multiple arcanums. I'm hoping that in season 6 he connects to the Star arcanum.
@@moonlight8451 it's at least been confirmed that he WON'T connect to the moon arcanum as it would deduct from Rayla's character. Steal her thunder as the head writer put it.
The first time, yes. But he figured out the ocean arcanum this time without it because the villain of this episode unintentionally gave him the keyword, control.
@@sleepingbeautyemily4122but he only figured it out after he used dark magic to break free of the chains. So again he used dark magic and after that learned an arcanum. I fear it is aaravos transferring the knowledge to him everytime he uses dark magic
Magic, excitement, comedy, action, fantasy, thrills, adventures, and drama. He did it. Callum unlocked the ocean arcanum to stop Finnegrin from controlling everyone. That should teach the villain a great lesson. That's our Callum mage 🐲🐉🧝🧝♂🧝♀🧚🧚♂🧚♀🧜🧜♂🧜♀🧙🧙♂🧙♀
Sky arcanum: Understanding that the sky is surrounding you everywhere and that you are within it, as well as part of it, taking it into you with every breath you take. Ocean arcanum: Understanding you can't know everything and you can't control everything. Moon: Understanding the true nature of the relationship between appearances and reality. My theories on the other arcanums (according to the wiki, the arcanums of these primal sources haven't been confirmed yet, sun and earth are only described with a few basics, but don't yet have a concept which one must "understand"): Sun: Understanding there is a strength within everyone, and that strength can be a warm light, or it can bring destruction. Control over that strength is crucial, lest you harm the people you care about. Earth: Understanding everything is alive, and life is a cycle, one in which plants give us life, and then when we die, we give life to the plants. We all return to the dirt from whence we came. Star: Understanding that knowledge is limited only by a person's willingness to learn and the time they have left. If anyone has any thoughts, lmk! I might change these up a bit.
So all arcanums are about understanding and acceptance of a concept. Plus I love how ocean, earth and sky arcanums consist of matter manipulation spells while the other 3 deal with energy manipulation
@@anders8461 Arcanums being the understanding of a concept is one of the first things I noticed. Another thing I noticed is that Earth, ocean, and sky are elemental. Meanwhile, sun, moon, and star are all otherworldly, things outside of our reach.
For me the sun is a balance of contrasting ideas, that fire can bring both ruin and life. Fire gives warmth, comfort and heals via cauterization, but it may also burn, cause fear, and leave scars, the sun seed in itself is a contradiction, as for a seed to blossom you need sun, and the recent season shows us a war of contrasting ideas, a nation of ideals versus a nation of tradition. And though not opposites ideals and tradition may conflict with each other as shown by the recent season.
My theory of the star arcanum is that everything is made of stardust or the same cosmic substance which Is why it's most powerful and everything is connected or derived from, linked together throughout time and space through acts of love. I know it sounds familiar in book 6, which is my inspiration. It can also be interpreted that even the cosmos, stars, heavenly or divinity is both everything and nothing at the same time. Void or chaos
I literally listen to Callum’s poems all day 😊 I wish there was more so they made like a 3min-length thing, so I could put it on my playlist. It’d be on loop when I’m sad or bored.
I think after using dark magic the second time Callum will meet someone who knows star arcanum and that moment will be useful for him to learn Star arcanum
Star magic could be about trusting the universe and listening to your intuition . Earth magic could be about inner balance since you need that to keep the world turning, and fire magic could be about grounding yourself as fire comes from the earth's core.
we know that sky magic is about the need to take a breath, to focus on the present instead of the past and future. "Just breathe." Moon magic is likely about understanding that the truth of the world shifts and changes like the phases of the moon, and trusting in the change as a constant in order to understand that things are not always as they seem. Even though the moon is crescent, the full body is still there, just beyond sight. Sun magic I think is about truth, about the purity and searing light that being honest with yourself brings, just as fire burns away impurities and the sun brings warmth and clarity.
oh my goodness, when I first watched this episode of season five of the dragon prince mystery of aaravos, I was shocked, panicked and surprised that Rayla, my favourite character was tied up and gagged

I bet the next arcanum he will learn is either sun, moon, stars and then earth or first earth, then star, moon and sun
I think stars will be the last one, right before we defeat Aaravos, since star magic seems to be more powerful than others.
