You might not think there are many triggers here but there really are! Your voice and the sound of the brush on canvas are great triggers. These painting videos are my favourite, I've watched them all a few times over. More painting please. ❤
Yep. Triggers. Triggers that make me want to turn off the video. No thanks, I'll watch real artists paint in their real voice. Not this pretend "ASMR" nonsense.
I follow an artist who uses mostly acrylics (Roger Bansemer.) He uses a fine mist spray bottle with water to blend on the canvas and keep his paints wet.
Yasss this is super awesome Kewas bob Ross in my honest opinion is what inspired alot of ASMR artist I'd like to think he would be the king of ASMR for all of us 90s to 20s babies hope you have a blessed week

I live in an old building too, I can relate to people making unnecessary comments. Never be ashamed of your home, for those who don’t like it, can politely stay away. Amazing video by the way 🎨 😊
The most important thing for Bob Ross style painting is the base coat of clear or white. You have to cover the whole canvas and it's all blending techniques after that. But you did a great job 👍
Great for ASMR, but I always wonder if I make people sleepy in real life as well, because sometimes it seems so. I wanted to be a teacher, but am not sure if I would be a good fit for it when everyone would sleep in my classes :D
I hope you make another painting video! My daughter and I (we both have autism) have been listening to/watching this video every day as part of our schedule during morning tea/lunch time. ❤️🎨 Edit: I am an artist and have been painting for over 30 years, but this is one of my favorite painting videos because of your calm and healing energy. That energy goes into the painting, so I hope you continue!!
I lived in Germany as a kid and I saw that door everywhere. It brings back great memories. This video was wonderful; it's nice to get to know you a little better. You could talk about anything and I would feel relaxed. The most soothing voice ever. Thanks!
With so many ASMRists playing roles, it is so refreshing to have someone like yourself be so authentic in an ASMR video. I enjoy a good role play but watching you paint made me feel like I was actually in your apartment (flat) watching you. I found myself smiling at your efforts...tingles are nice but a good smile that begins from the heart always makes me feel good all over. Thank you for just being you.... 🙂 And just a thought....Bob Ross did most of his paint mixing on the brush....the lack of perfect blending of the colors into one hue was a big part of his style which was simple yet made you think it was highly detailed. Keep up the good work!
Great video. Your voice and care is a great tribute to Bob. Been a Fan of Bob's work for 25 years ....I taught myself to paint watching him. Keep up the great work. great ASMR
This is the best Bob Ross ASMR video I've ever seen! You are pursuing something you want to pursue and he was all about the love of painting. I think because you are doing this for real it makes such a difference! Thank you for sharing your passion with us! It is beautiful!
I was actually thinking if it is not lame to post just me trying to blend colors for 40 minutes, but am really glad you enjoyed. Painting is very time consuming, especially on such large canvas but I just simply wanted to share with you what I enjoy to do in my free time :))
A tip for painting with acrylics that my grandma told me is to use wet paper towels in a flat bottomed container like a tupperware bowl and then put greaseproof paper on top of that and mix your colours on the greaseproof paper. This keeps the paint wet for a lot longer while you're using it. You can also then put the lid on the container you're using and this keeps it wet for as long as you keep the paper towels wet, but if you leave it for ages the paint starts to run. If you want to be really sustainable you can reuse the same bit of greaseproof paper over and over, but it is a little bit more effort. Either way It's worked really well for me, maybe others can try it.
Also, something for people to try that I do is to mix the colours but not actually mix them into another colour. I get different colours using the same brush and hit them on the palet a few times together (A bit like you're applying blush makeup). It will have a speckley spiky appearance and the colours will all be there and a bit mixed but not fully and on your brush there will be several colours that are all blended but also have the original paint colours too. Then when you're painting they will mix together as well and this gives loads of different colours and interesting texture. It's hard to explain in writing but it's sort of how Bob Ross does his clouds. I find it's hard to emulate bob ross' style in Acrylic because it dries so fast, it's hard to get the smooth blends that he does because he paints wet on wet, so using the rough textures of hoghair brushes and not smoothly mixed colours works well for me.
Lovely sky, hon. I like it. And what's great about it is, if you flip it upside down, it could also be the start of a great Caribbean sea on a sunny day. :D Gives versatility for where you can go from here. You should do more of these paintings as you learn.
Great Work Ms.Kewas! For someone who is learning a new skill , it is Exquisite. Don't give up easly , there will be paintings you won't like, trust me :) As Bob used to say "Painting is such an individual thing...and that's the way it should be." ^_^ All the best :*
You’ve created yet another mind-melting experience for us, AND you acknowledged the time it takes to become skilled at a task. I’ve been asked to paint for free and it took me a long time to respond appropriately (i.e. get bent).
What a nice and relaxing video! If your paints are drying out too quickly I’d look into getting a wet palette. That is what I use when I paint with acrylics. It keeps the paint wet and easy to work with even in long painting sessions.
The only problem with a wet palette for these videos is that it would be difficult using it standing up and holding it at an angle as it uses saturated sponge under membrane paper.
Bob Ross painting style is not meant for acrylics. Wet on wet is the style and acrylic drys too fast. If u want to use acrylic I suggest u buy a mixing medium that will keep the acrylic from drying
Acrylic paint dries quick. If you want your paint not to dry so quickly, then i suggest using oil base paint. Or buy clear oil base to add to your acrylic paint.
One thing I've read the other day is this: what you draw or paint doesn't have to look like anything. You can draw a set of squares, or a pattern, or whatever you want. @@kewas_asmr Oh, it's not a critique of what you were painting, not at all. I absolutely suck at painting, so when I read that article, I might just draw "gibberish" and enjoy it. @@kewas_asmr Hello aspiring artist! I'm glad if you have switched to oil and thus give yourself some peace of mind at the beginning :-)!
