What about knowing when to say No, being resolute, offering comfort and security, being a role model and loving a child? Leonardo will have to learn all those things like everybody else.

I actually decided to have children before getting a dog. Had both my boys then went and got a dog together as a family. Loved it. And glad I did it this way. My friend got a dog before kids and the dog got jealous and everything. Nothing they did help. That actually after years of owning the dog , they had to rehome it after a scary situation. Was very hard on her. She had the dog for many years. Paid thousands to get help but dog just wouldn't accept the kids go near their mother ECT

Yes plus 4 is warm. Minus temp becomes cold. Like minus 8 with wind chill minus 13 feels like minus 20. In Canada that can actually be a warmer day depending on the weather for the day. Here we can get all four seasons in one day. I love Canada. I would really, really love to come visit Finland though.

What if dog really doesn't like babies then you have to find a new home for said dog and if you first get baby and when baby is a bit older a dog they can grow up together. We don't have a doggo yet and our youngest is 5 because I've seen how enthosiastic they can be with our cats and they loving our cats so hard bbut when the cats don't want the boops, pets and cuddles they can and will go outside and are able to walk away, a dog can't do that and when your on the toilet for a minute everything can happen

Why not dog first? It's great to practice responsibility. If it doesn't work well yet, you can give a dog away. You can't do that with a child. Plus, training a dog is a great practice for training a toddler. If you mess up with the dog, you can do better with your child. Better this way round than the other way round. ;) If you have the baby first, I'd recommend waiting with the dog for some years. A new or young dog AND a baby or toddler is too much if you want to meet the needs of both. Whatever you do, don't forget that both is expensive.
