For this, I kinda have 2 theories, 1: Karma is actually evil and her bringing Alex to a corrupted Steven was actually a trap to get her killed, 2: Karma is corrupted so in some moments, she may unleash her corrupted self. Besides, the animation is really good! The quality is great and the animation is smooth and I also like the story.
Now I'm curious as to what happen to Steven! Man, I hope he will survive and get rid of the monster inside of him. And of course, awesome job with the animation Ethan! :D

I can't understand How did that karma or something know his name- And in these types of story at the end the friend/whoever it is in story pushes the other person to save them then the person comes back to its normal form or he remembers its her friend and doesn't attack her at the end instead of the thingy falling on him/her I don't like cliff hanger lol xD
Wow. This is really good, quality really is quite the step up. Though it is pretty sad that the series is ending so soon, but hey, its the choice of the creator not the audience of when it should end. After a handful of watches, I think I've got a basic picture. But even though 90% of my brain is telling it to me, I'm still a bit confused. Because it seems like Karma planned all of this, because her motivation was the mask, and it seems that all her talk about having the power to give Alexa whatever she desires isn't the truth, I mean, she got beaten by four of those dark creatures and an enderman on two separate occasions, and judging from the face she makes when she's talking to Alexa, it seems she had something planned, and judging from her face when she pulled the lever, it seems she *knew* what was going to happen and did it anyway. And when you think about it, she did let Alexa see Steven again, just not in the way she expected, and in the end, Karma still got the mask part she needed, so is it possible that she came to that location before, encountered Steven, got defeated, then left to go find someone who would do it for her? Someone naive enough to fall into the trap and deal with the corrupted Steven, thus leaving the mask part for the taking? So many questions, that probably will never have an answer, how sad :(

My guess on what's going on: I going to guess that Karma is some kind of witch. The mask might be hers considering the color matches her clothing. She may have created creatures that bonded with people and put them under her control. One day, however, one of her minions bonded with a foreigner. On his way back, the minion had found a mysterious trident, which gave it some free will. Eventually he, refused to obey Karma. The two fought, and in the end, the rebellious minion managed to split the mask. Karma lost control of the infected and had to flee from them, escaping with only half of the mask. Karma probably doesn't care about saving Steven, and just wants the other half of the mask. She must have trapped Alexia in there to fight Steven, and hopefully get the other half back without having to fight him herself. Love your animation EthanAnimatez! Been waiting for what felt like a fraternity. Definitely worth it! The true story I will find out, next episode.
