    Never heard Big Virgil speak until this video and after watching and listening I Instantly became a fan of his. I'm a boxing fan since the mid 70's and it's refreshing to hear a man speak intelligently with both positivity and humility. Virgil Sr is the epitome of a man that's letting his son's talent speak for itself, and not his mouth like Teo's pops or Angel Garcia ( Danny 'Swift " Garcia ) do with their talented sons. I'm a big Spence Jr, Bud Crawford, Ortiz Jr. Leo Santa Cruz and Boots Ennis fan and I wish all these fighters the best! Moving from my native Los Angeles to the Dallas area soon and a Spence Jr. vs Ortiz Jr. bout at AT&T stadium would be absolutely EPIC! Fight party at my new crib.... All of you are invited! Peace & Blessings

    I agree Vergil Sr. , but it sounds like he got upset with Robert because Robert went to the Franco fight the same night Vergil Jr. fought. Robert and Vergil Jr. did have a good bond. Sad to see this happen .

    Disagree to a point, fighters need consistency and trust in a long time trainer. Like Eddy and Canelo. Look at champion's who have been very successful and the majority have had one trainer there whole career.

      Eddy is good for Canelo cause he parry much raised him in boxing... i'm not a fan of Eddy's strict "boxer/puncher" style... reminds me of Juan Marquez career

      Totally depends on the coaches and boxers abilities. It doesn't work that way for every fighter.

    • @rickjones5399
      @rickjones5399 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Eddy's relationship is special. They live for the same goal. Some coaches aren't as sound, and they are unable to help their fighters attain that high level of success. Virgil is young, he's talented. I'd like to see him adopt different styles to grow as a capable boxer by the time he settles as a primed fighter. I belive he'll do well, especially with the team he's got behind him at all times.
      Reynosos priority is Canelo.
