Not sure if you’ll ever read this, but thank you, vewn. Thank you for your art and animations. I've been feeling down about my living situation, lack of a job, and general state of the world for the past several weeks, and the places I'd normally turn to for happy escapism weren't working as well as they used to. Watching your videos has reminded me that it's okay to admit that the world sucks. Because sometimes, it is just comically unfair. Thank you for reminding me that I don’t have to act numb to it all the time. Lowkey I think these videos have helped me with trauma I didn’t even know I had. So yeah. Thanks.
I love that "Bad Kids Stuff" is what societal systems seem to teens, even if the notions they have of how they work are absolutely and completely off, even if they seem completely unfair and arbitrary (and we as adults know they aren't and that it isn't that simple) it captures something we've all felt at least once while growing up.
This is like my favourite style of animation I've ever come across, not only the literal style in which it is drawn, but the very essence of what is conveyed through this medium by vewn, the artist. Speaks to me like nothing else, creds to everyone involved, honestly
vewn you are amazing. i know that people on the internet say that a lot but i really do mean it. do not look at a faceless comment saying something any other comment could say. imagine an 18 year old wannabe artist that is hypnotised by your work and is trying his best to express himself in words. i Hope you keep doing what you're doing
identity seems to be a very important/reoccurring theme in the world of bad kids. not only was it foreshadowed in the very first seconds of the video but it seems to be something super enforced given the punishment (albeit it was chosen at random) was death. something also i noticed were the guards all wear white masks, it could be for the sake of safety but also sorta dehumanize the government in a way, sorta saying how the government could be anyone or anything. again, identity being present. even after the situation with escaping death row, roxy could never return to her old life, exactly how jazzy had said. basically the government is like held together by two pieces of string (not very different than the us government)
the "Okay you literally cannot do that" bit sent me. I love all your animations but this one being a bit more on the humorous side was nice. Youre easily one of my favorite animators
Very interesting how most of the top comments seem adamant on refusing to actually engage with the subject matter of the work, like saying how nice those men’s shoes are or something to that effect. Anyways, excellent, informative piece on what it often feels like to be a vulnerable/marginalized individual in modern America, and how the judicial process is designed to maximize harm at every turn. Most vile detail imo is how eager these men are to try children as adults and kill them as such. The masks are a dead ringer for the kind of men these positions of power attract (I.e take a peek at any 4chan board ad nauseum)

The plot is also interesting, reminds me of the movie minority report.
ALL OF YOUR ANIMATIONS ARE A CRAZY DREAMLAND IN SUCH A GOOD WAY
I love these types of animations, the messy one that’s super cool and somehow very nostalgic to kids shows ❤️
I am always so happy to see your animations, they are so different from anything else I watch. I felt reminded of Kafkas "The Trial" in the beginning & the ending was great as usual!
Turn this into a series, cause I'll look at this forever.
Love your work Vewn, excited to catch this so early!
So yeah. Thanks.
I'm used to Vewn videos being full of the unexpected, but still would of never expected a Yu Yu Hakesho theme song showing up in one.
ME TOO
Same! But isn't Sayonara bye bye one of the endings?
@@diyakittu Yaps, it's the second ED theme, used during much of the Dark Tournament Arc.
@@diyakittu yeah
You are quickly becoming my favorite artist and filmmaker.
I like how small they are as small as a gusher
I love that "Bad Kids Stuff" is what societal systems seem to teens, even if the notions they have of how they work are absolutely and completely off, even if they seem completely unfair and arbitrary (and we as adults know they aren't and that it isn't that simple) it captures something we've all felt at least once while growing up.
"societal systems"
Back the blue until it happens to you and everything and everyone in-between!

“Absolutely and completely off”
No
this is exactly how things are today under late capitalism
This is like my favourite style of animation I've ever come across, not only the literal style in which it is drawn, but the very essence of what is conveyed through this medium by vewn, the artist. Speaks to me like nothing else, creds to everyone involved, honestly
"u really just dis-respected me at the bar"
Легенда вернулась.Обожаю тебя!❤Твой стиль потрясающий!Спасибо за работу!
2:49 That’s the slowed version of Delegation - Oh Honey
Wow this is literally so amazing!!!! Whoever made this is a genius!!!
Animation: 10/10
Story: 10/10
Voice acting: 10/10
I only wish it was longer!!!
this was so much fun, so stylish! so specific! immense props
vewn you are amazing. i know that people on the internet say that a lot but i really do mean it. do not look at a faceless comment saying something any other comment could say. imagine an 18 year old wannabe artist that is hypnotised by your work and is trying his best to express himself in words. i Hope you keep doing what you're doing
identity seems to be a very important/reoccurring theme in the world of bad kids. not only was it foreshadowed in the very first seconds of the video but it seems to be something super enforced given the punishment (albeit it was chosen at random) was death.
something also i noticed were the guards all wear white masks, it could be for the sake of safety but also sorta dehumanize the government in a way, sorta saying how the government could be anyone or anything. again, identity being present.
even after the situation with escaping death row, roxy could never return to her old life, exactly how jazzy had said. basically the government is like held together by two pieces of string (not very different than the us government)
Glad to see your beautiful works again you always inspire me so Im glad you came back ❤
О боже, я не думала, что автор вернется на ютуб. Один из любимых каналов
I love the feeling, pace, commentary, and aesthetic of your art
the "Okay you literally cannot do that" bit sent me. I love all your animations but this one being a bit more on the humorous side was nice. Youre easily one of my favorite animators
You deserve no less than a team, lotsa money and a series of your own for adult swim or something, you're truly great! ❤❤
