Very amusing to hear these ladies ranting about the sloppy modern use of the English language. Thanks for the upload - it's nice to be reminded of the shows I grew up watching on dear old Southern Television.

    Nicer people in better times.

But not nicer food. That turkey dish they 'cooked' there looked and sounded so *revolting* that I'd have sooner put my own head in the oven and turn the gas on than eat _that_ ...

@@Crazy1Clive It looked lovely. It was en croute. Why don't you try it instead of saying things are disgusting.

@@londonlady227Sorry, but I'll say whatever I damned well like on what is a public forum, with or without your stupid permission. Don't like it? Fuck off.

@@londonlady227agree. I think it’s fine. I think we tend to think because we now have a lot more ethnic food available we feel (or some do) morally superior about those in the past. Sorry there’s a lot of pap that I wouldn’t cross the road to eat. Homely good home cooked food will always bet anything today that’s made up fancy and charged ££££ for the privilege.

I ant watch this without thinking of the Buggernation Street Johnny Monroe version.

Well spoken. None of the slang.
