One problem we can we is that once we put the ring we get gap on martix but i have to say i am using paldont sectional ring is that could be the reasons TIA

Palodent rings do not do much to adapt the bands to the tooth. Use some Teflon tape to help close those gaps or you can try our soft-face silicone tipped Garrison rings.

Could you specify more, then, about the issue? Where is the space happening? Is it happening at the margin, happening in the bottom of the box? Is the matrix band moving out of place after the ring is placed or is it's shape changing once the ring is placed, causing the contact point against the adjacent tooth to be the gap?

What is the difference between blue and orange rings in the clincal use? In other words when to use the blue and when to use the orange?

blue is shorter, meant to be placed most anteriorly, usually for premolars

Can I use full band with the ring and use only one ring?

If you're asking about using a circumferential band (wraps around the whole tooth) and a ring rather than a sectional matrix band in combination with a ring, it's not ideal. You'll get the added separation from the ring but still won't be able to make the proper contact points with the circumferential band.

I never had any difficulty placing the butterfly technique! It is so simple. Maybe because I use the standard old Palodent rings (I never used the Garison) so I do not know if it will be that difficult or not. IMO it will be no different unless the bulky arc wing is the source of trouble?!

Hi Dr. Talaat. The angle on the Garrison rings has been engineered to be placed using the stacking technique instead of the butterfly technique. If placed using the butterfly technique, it's more difficult to seat the ring and you don't get as great of an adaptation of your matrix band to the tooth. We can't speak for other systems, but if it works for you with the system you use, it sounds like there's no cause to change your technique.

@@GarrisonDental thank you for the reply, I like your videos a lot and I enjoyed the 5 series of sectional matrices, I like the design of the green ring a lot and I will buy it. It will be a great addition to my system. Thanks again

I am wondering should I purchase the 3D or 3D XR system? a little help would be much appreciated

Do you mean the system that has orange and black ring, blue and black ring, or the white and blue/orange/green rings? The 3D Fusion system with the 3 rings is the most advanced system. The retention on the white and orange ring was improved from the previous orange and black ring. Also, the 3D fusion rings are slightly smaller, so there's less blocking your view. The wide prep ring also only exist in the 3D Fusion system. The orange and black, and blue and black rings still perform well, but they are no longer the "latest and greatest". I hope that helps.
