      This is what I found on the Cathay Pacific website.
      Passengers will be able to transit through Hong Kong if:
      Their itinerary is contained in a single booking;
      They meet the entry requirements of their final destination;
      They have their baggage checked through to the final destination;
      They have been issued their onward boarding pass(es) from their origin; and
      The connection time between flights is within 24 hours.
      Also, people currently cannot transfer to flights to the Mainland.

  • @maplefanta3632

    What is the purpose of a transfer point if you are just transiting airside? I mean based on the plans showed what if you were to land at Gate 12 and depart at Gate 28; wouldn't you just go straight to the gate and leave.
    Or what's different at Hong Kong airport than at any other airports from that airside perspective?

    • @kylohk
      @kylohk ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The arriving passengers enter the terminal on a different level than the one used by departing passengers. Once you have reached a transfer point and cleared security there, you can take an escalator up to the level used by departing passengers.

      If you have received boarding passes for all flights in your journey when you first check in, this guide would be sufficient. Otherwise, it is a matter of finding a transfer desk in either the western or eastern end of the main concourse of in the Midfield Concourse, depending on the airline of your next flight.
