RATM was my first show when i was 14 (They played with Wu-Tang!) I sang in a RATM tribute band for 2.5 years. I'll be at MSG next month to see them for the first time since! Super pumped to be seeing these guys again.
I have listened to these guys since the late nineties, but never saw them live. The tickets for this show I bought pre-pandemic. For quite a while I wondered if the show would ever transpire. Much of the grim political situation in this country has personally left me often feeling just down some days. To actually make it to this show, have it kick off in my home state and see it with my best friend who flew in for it was amazing. A night spent with 37,000 other like-minded people was uplifting! This concert was not only to entertain, but a call to be activists.
First saw Rage in 1999. Opened with Testify, my hair stood up all overy body and I thought the roof was going to blow off the building. Felt that again watching this today. Happy to be a 90s kid growing up with them and so happy that man and band are back on stage.
I saw them in 99 as well on the Battle of Los Angeles tour w/ Gangstarr and still one of the greatest shows I've been to. Lost my voice from screaming along the whole time.
I graduated in 93. I was turning adult as this whole music wave took us over. Theres no way to explain it. But im glad to lived it. Was so fuckin great
I am lucky enough to attend the concert in Ottawa Friday. I always wanted to see them. What pure energy and feel. No bullshit here, drums, bass, guitar, and a vocalist. I first got into them for the music, later on I listen more closely to the lyrics. Strong messages of equal rights and justice. No other artist gets their message across like RAGE…..Enjoy the concert while it is still possible…

This gives me fn chills.....I remember being beyond intrigued and being into this band when i received a copied cassette of their first album... back in early '92 before it was released and have been an instant fan since. It is a beautiful thing that this band has been relevant for over 30 years... and now making a new generation of fans rebel against the norm. This was so revolutionary and just what we needed then... and what we need now.
I swear that if there was a way to plug the entire world to the energy that a RATM concert generates, just one concert….the whole planet would be forever powered be their energy alone!!!!!!

“There is a time when the operation of the machine becomes so odious, makes you so sick at heart, that you can’t take part; you can’t even passively take part, and you’ve got to put your bodies upon the gears and upon the wheels, upon the levers, upon all the apparatus, and you’ve got to make it stop. And you’ve got to indicate to the people who run it, to the people who own it, that unless you’re free, the machine will be prevented from working at all!” ~Mario Savio 1964

Man, when I go to a concert, I usually just record a couple of brief segments of my favorite tracks from the set…But I just know that if I was there watching RATM…I would forget about my fucking phone and I would be just raging and screaming out the lyrics, this band is awesome, and they still sound incredible after all these years…Thanks for sharing! Appreciate it
Definitely didn’t use a phone to record this video!
Holy crap what a set !! Thanks for the upload
One of the greatest of all time, Glad to see them back together, this fucking world NEEDS this band right now.

It would be nice if they actually spoke out against the establishment rather than kiss their globalist asses. ✊🏼
No it doesn’t lol
RATM was my first show when i was 14 (They played with Wu-Tang!) I sang in a RATM tribute band for 2.5 years.
I'll be at MSG next month to see them for the first time since!
Super pumped to be seeing these guys again.
Oh shit I saw the same tour in Indy. I was 16 and my dad took me.
I'd rather see Wu Tang 👐 than Rage for the machine

This is mad tight! Band sounds amazing, and Zack’s vocals sound exactly the same as they did in the last.
Killer.
Look up rages first show on TH-cam
Yeah I seen it way cool
Bucket list this show was amazing. I love being able to come on here and watch the show again. It was a top 3 concert for me!
Even better to be a 90's teen like I was and be able to appreciate them even more back then.
I saw them in 99 as well on the Battle of Los Angeles tour w/ Gangstarr and still one of the greatest shows I've been to. Lost my voice from screaming along the whole time.
Your description completely encapsulates my own experience setting them in 1999. The amount of power is hard to describe in words.
I graduated in 93. I was turning adult as this whole music wave took us over. Theres no way to explain it. But im glad to lived it. Was so fuckin great
@@mikeyj990ify
Class of 93 too. I may be getting older, but I'm so glad I'm not from bullshit Gen z!
Even more glad this band is back!
Lol
SEE YOU TOMORROW NIGHT, HOMIE

The funkiest metal band of all time! It's great to see 'em back on stage and working their one of a kind magic.

this was absolutely incredible thank you so much for posting this
Thanks for filming the show, good quality.
Holy sheet they're back, let's fucking gooooooo
Americas never needed Rage more then they do now. They mean more to me now then they did thirty years ago.
absolutely agree, I first saw them almost 30 years ago to the day and this show is like seeing them again for the first time.
Hate to tell you guys this, but I just saw them in Chicago.
3 songs into the set, singer hurt his leg.
He continued the show, but he was in a TON of pain.
To what? Rage with the machine? You legit have no idea. They are pushing the gov jabs and gov agenda. They sold out harder than metallica.
NO WE DONT.
Yup!!! Rage on!!!!
Dude!!!..I've live 6 miles from Alpine my whole life,East Troy Wi)..I'm 49, I've been to 40 plus shows at Alpine, all the Monsters of Rock, the Dead shows,etc......I did not know they played there until just now!!!!ughhhh!!!! How did I miss this???
Zack sentado em uma cadeira tem mais presença de palco que 20 vocalistas da nova geração juntos.
Porraaaaa.. verdade
Demais Zack sabe dominar um palco!
I was there last Saturday in the pit. My ears are still ringing. Concert of a lifetime!
One of the GREATEST BANDS EVER!!! Zack is back, this is FIRE!!!
I voted for them for the Rock n Roll Hall of Fame. A damn crime they didn't make it. Maybe years to come.
Zack was summoned from his slumber to save the world again
Sellout bands ever*
FTFY
@@ericsprague4273 glad they didn't, the majority of us voted against them. Sellouts don't deserve hall of fame.
@@JulianEmdon to what? Push the gov jabs? Tell us how pushing jabs and forcing fans into it, helps everyone and doesnt prove hes part of the machine?
This gives me fn chills.....I remember being beyond intrigued and being into this band when i received a copied cassette of their first album... back in early '92 before it was released and have been an instant fan since. It is a beautiful thing that this band has been relevant for over 30 years... and now making a new generation of fans rebel against the norm. This was so revolutionary and just what we needed then... and what we need now.
They haven't been relevant since 2k. They are sellouts kid. Pushing gov jabs and agenda.

I’m back here today to appreciate that I had the chance to see RATM at Alpine Valley. I’m so sad that they will never play again!
Same.
Same here.
I literally saw the news now while rewatching the college campus gig. Had to follow through their latest and here I am
The set list is amazing !!!! In my point of view Vietnow should have been played
One of my favorite RATM tracks ever, a goddamn clever composition.
I was disappointed that one didn't make the cut.
The set list is Divine, I wish I was there, damn. And to see all members present. just wow!
um... divine? i know what u mean, but just sayin, lousy choice of words.
the world needed this world so much, i am so happy seieing them back!
Maybe someday they'll release a new album. A guy can dream, right?
Terimakasih sudah dishare ..... Miss You RATM
Absolutely incredible show. The energy was off the charts
I swear that if there was a way to plug the entire world to the energy that a RATM concert generates, just one concert….the whole planet would be forever powered be their energy alone!!!!!!

I get goose bumps when i hear rage the stuff they talked about in the 90's is what the world is like now !!
I miss the "we are Rage against the Machine, from Los Angeles California" And can't wait for the concert in Germany in September. Thanks for the upload 😁👍👍👍
In México it was "somos furia contra la máquina!" 😁
I'm going to see them in Oakland, California in March 2023! Lol. I'm so excited even if it's so far away.
What I'd pay to see RATM and TOOL tour together...
I hope they come to the UK soon. I just hate festivals though. If the same exact shows are brought back for Europe, I'll just travel to Poland. At least it's not a festival. Because fuck paying for Reading just to see RATM
I never appreciated their message when I was a kid. But now that I do I love them all the more.

Their message is the exact opposite today
Without A Face is one of my fav RATM songs. I love the harmonic note that Tom repeatedly plays during the verses. So simple to play, but it sounds so damn good.

Was at this show. So damn good. Thought I would never get to see them, especially after the Covid cancellation. What a goddamn treat this was.
I remember seeing them in 92 or 93 opening the Lollapalooza show, drummer was setup backwards with mirrors in front of him .... They killed it .. That was my first pit experience. 🤘 Thanks for this upload .
I saw them on that tour too. Maynard even came out to sing his lines on "Know Your Enemy" since Tool was on the same bill.
Yup. 1st band on the main stage, probably 12pm time slot. I got there late and they were in the middle of 'wake up'
Saw same tour tool and rage both killed
It was 93 and I was there too. Probably not the same city but yeah, I had no idea who they were and neither did a lot of people. They shocked people and got them moving like there was no tomorrow. I remember saying damn I'm spent but there was still a whole day of bands to see! LOL
Yup, we were all kids then. Dumb kids.

And you’ve got to indicate to the people who run it, to the people who own it, that unless you’re free, the machine will be prevented from working at all!”
~Mario Savio 1964
They indicate to pfizer, moderna and planned parenthood, who's side they're on. They're on the side of the machine.
i m sure ZDLR is aware of this quote but I dont know that ive heard say specifically that this quote inspired either the song from his first punk band or "rage against the machine". Awesome quote though.
First time I heard this quote was Linkin Park's A Thousand Suns album. A great album obviously
