I had a reaction to Hyalase, I had chipmunk cheeks which I lived with since March, I was so miserable. I contacted a lady I found and she did a test which did make me go red but she was confident and I was confident in her and she did a little on my cheek, I went red but not as red as my test on my arm. After waiting a while she went ahead and did more, she dealt with it professionally with care and gave me steroids to be sure. I was overjoyed . So it is fine to Hyalase with a positive! The lady I went to Natalie who owns Taylor Made aesthetics in Liverpool. Exceptional service and a very happy bunny I am.
I have the same problem with my cheeks since having fillers its been two years now, and had a bad reaction to hyalase, i am so miserable and dont know what to do 😢 i live in france
Great topic. You bring up very good points that we all think about but rarely hear injectors talking about it. Always learning something from your educational videos.
I have recently had filler dissolved using hyalaise. I had a patch test which showed a slight red mark, but nothing to concern the nurse. After the first treatment, the next day my eyes were itchy, gritty and blooshot, one was slightly puffy. This went away after 24 hours. I had a repeat checkup 2 weeks later and needed more as some filler still present. This time I have more of a reaction, skin rash and swelling/puffiness around the bottom of my face and cheeks and swollen puffy eye on one side. This is after a couple of days. So I am assuming I have a slight allergy. Hoping it settles - I had the treatment 3 days ago and then 2 weeks prior to this.
I’m reading Serrapeptase supplements help dissolve old migrated filler. Any thoughts on this ? Only problem is it won’t target just one area and may ruin my good filler ❤
I had a client with a sever reaction. Ive working in emergency care so knew what to do. I have told the client i will not retreat with filler. Are there any other options to offer her?
i had a severe allergy reaction when i wanted to dissolve my upper lips a little bit … my face ballooned up, i looked like the cat lady … so scray and that face stayed with me for 5days even after storid and two adrenaline shots. my lips were about to explode… i couldn’t open my eyes … but the bad news is i hate my new lips when she did it a week after and i am so desperate to dissolve it😢 what can i do??? i am allergic to dissolving but i hate my lips now
QUESTIONS: 1) If I did not have a bad reaction to the original hyaluronic acid filler, does that mean it’s less likely that I’ll be allergic to the Hyaluronidase? 2)Can the patch test cause anaphylaxis?
I had my lips dissolved with hayalse and i had a severe allergic reaction ( anaphylaxis ) i was then injected with antihistamine ( steroid ) and i’ve done it twice after this time with the same practitioner but with using the antihistamine first to prevent the allergic reaction
Every time you are exposed to hyalase, you increase your chances of fatal reaction if you’ve had anaphylaxis to hyalase in the past. You really shouldn’t be having filler mainly because if you need it reversing. Kind regards Mary. Clinical advisor for Dr Tim.
I had a 6 ml of juvederm voluma from 4 months and it made my face too puffy,,, also a dr said i have a delayed hypersensitivity reaction from the filler...i want to dissolve but am really afraid from the complications specially that they put me huge volume of filler that am not sure if it is gonna completely dissolve! Can you please help me with an advice?
I had a reaction to Juviderm 3, it was done on Thursday the 3rd of Nov. The question now is if I should have it reversed. The practitioner that did it said the complication of Hyalase is blindness. I have never heard that. Who can chime in and help me out please. Dr. Tim, I'm in Germany and need advice please. I have chipmunk cheeks, red and warm. 😩
Tally Givon hi sorry to hear you had a reaction, I had a reaction when I tried to dissolve my lip filler I had a reaction to the hyalase too my lips swelled up and went really numb took over a month for it to go back to normal but I’m now left with lumps and hardness on my lips 😔

Vivian Hoo , Hello Vivian, Thank God I’m great and my face is back 2 normal . It took 4 Days for my face to get back to its natural state but it wasnt without any help from the medications they gave me, I took cortisol and antibiotics and Arnica Gel . Thank u so much for asking I really appreciate it. Btw if ur going 2 do fillers & later want 2 dissolve them , u should do an allergy test first 2 c how ur body will react, I wish I had done that first .
