yes but it varies. A mestizo with 90% native and only 10% European will still look different than another mestizo with 70% European and 30% native: mestizo doesn’t have a certain look. Look at Yuya (Mexican TH-camr) she is mestiza but looks more European. George Lopez is also mestizo but looks more native. Heck, even Canelo Álvarez he’s a redhead Mexican boxer he looks white but his siblings/family looks more native. Mestizos can vary in features.

@@Raccon_Detective. The Native American civilizations of Mexico were much larger and populated than those in what we call the US and Canada today. The Spanish were fairly severely outnumbered. When you couple this with the fact that intermarriage was encouraged, it's easy to see why Mexicans and by extension Latin Americans look they way they do. In the US and Canada, however, the Europeans were simply able to overwhelm Native populations and push them out by sheer numbers and manpower. They didn't always actively go about trying to kill them all though.

Yes, generally it was less strict and the Spanish Queen did actually request intermarriage, but lineage and nobility was still ultra important to be in the good ol’ boys club. Hence the reason the Moctezuma’s have the highest rank of nobility in Spain.

@@Raccon_Detective. The Native American civilizations of Mexico were much larger and populated than those in what we call the US and Canada today. The Spanish were fairly severely outnumbered. When you couple this with the fact that intermarriage was encouraged, it's easy to see why Mexicans and by extension Latin Americans look they way they do.
In the US and Canada, however, the Europeans were simply able to overwhelm Native populations and push them out by sheer numbers and manpower. They didn't always actively go about trying to kill them all though.

Many white Americans also have native blood in them, from 10% to 2% but you can’t tell by the looks because their European genes are the dominant ones, so there’s no real standard to tell who is purer than who unless the entire population of a country takes a DNA test.
And even then you’ll have to realize “race” is a social construct, not a real thing, Europeans themselves don’t go by color or race because there are many nuances to it.

And it’s actually a meme in the dna testing community about white Americans thinking they have a Cherokee princess ancestor but 90 percent of the time they are pure European. In the south many do have like 2 percent SSA but that is less than the average white Mexican.

For Americans and Mexicans, yes the US has more descendants of Europeans but then you’ll have to define at what percentage of “European DNA” you’re officially “white”.
