“In answer “ for me conjures up a quintessential mid-80s’ sunny day when you’ve just scored and were headed-out in motor with chums and the cassette player blasting ! Now I’m old and going to bloody work......love from wessexshire
I love listening to the distinctly different instruments all playing different melodies that that mix into a complimentary and unified sound theme. Genius composition compared to so many other bands that can only play the same notes throughout. This is one the reasons why Chameleons were (and still are) one of my favorite bands of all time.
About "In answer" : compared to the original version (or the live ones) , the keyboard is more present ; its sound is well balanced with the other instruments, making the song so serene. I also deeply enjoy “Sally”, so melancholic, a masterpiece.
The same happens in "Home is Where the Heart is" , also the drums in this songs are totally different from the album version. Less darker, more atmospheric in my opinion... Both versions are great though!
Yes without taking anything away from their darker side , this version of “ in answer “ puts it at home amongst their uplifting and atmospheric ( ‘cloud - scraping’ as the Irish Independent article of 2010 uses ) tunes & in my opinion is a Wonderous Thing. 😄🏴😇❤️
@@davidfielding4651hello. will there ever be a chance the second album will be reissued? it really needs a remaster. songs from it sounds so much better on these broadcasts because the guitar is clear compared to the album's version

The chameleons banda que te transporta a otro nivel
Beautiful sound
One of my favourite bands! So happy to find this.
In Answer is played gloriously here.
I love Home Is Where the Heart Is - weirdest track they ever did...doesn't sound like it comes from another dimension but it feels like it does.
Agree, and this version is so powerful and IMO knocks the echo-laden one on Basically into the proverbial cocked hat!
No habrá banda que la iguale jamás
What a gem this is! Thanks so much for sharing this one. Love them.
Beautiful.
Wow best live record I have seen of them! Everything sounds so clear and not mushy.
Wonderful stuff, thanks so much!
*Merci Monsieur Loup* :)

This is a wonderful find.
The chameleons the BEST band of 1983
I personally found Bobby More's Wine better than the Mad Jack's final version.
Definitely - here it's just got more 🎉
C'est moi qui vous remercie, Madame Papillon
Bobby Moore's Wine tastes like Clean-O-Pine

Sally is so Johnny Marr-esque, beautiful
But Mark's voice is above and beyond Marr....
Umm...has Mark got leg warmers on on the cover pic?!?!?
Who the crow is doing the string quartets?
Mark,Dave,Reg and John. We used New Orders emulator. XX
